The Auditor would suggest to the Assessors the importance of filing with the Treasurer an exact duplicate of each abate- ment and reassessment furnished to the Collector. Complications will thus be avoided which are inevitable if this is not strictly adhered to.
W. R. TAYLOR, Auditor.
*The difference between the uncollected taxes for 1905 on the Treasurer's books and the Collector's books is caused by an overpayment of two cents to the Treasurer.

Report of Commissioners of Public Burial Grounds.
The Commissioners report as follows :-
Since the last report, eight lots have been placed in the perpetual care of the Town-all of these being in Fairview, and five of them being placed in such care by persons no longer residing here. The whole number at present is forty-nine.
Owing to several causes, the expenses this year have been slightly in excess of the income. The moist weather in the early summer, in contrast to the dryness of several previous years, greatly increased the amount of labor necessary to be done. Some work in connection with the survey made last year, also some extra printing done this year will not occur next year. The printing referred to was three Record Books, so that now, the person having charge of either Cemetery can keep a correct record of the name of every person buried in such Cemetery; the date of death, burial, and also the lot in which the burial is made, thus preventing any difficulty in finding the grave of any one known to have been buried there; such difficulty having arisen some times in former years, owing to the want of care taken in this respect, long ago.
We notice that our decision that all unoccupied lots must be graded within twelve months after the time of taking the lot, has produced good results. C. N. Richardson and W. H. H. Burbeck will give the same faithful care to the several Cem- eteries the coming year, as during the past. The Commissioners would respectfully recommend that the sum of $250 be raised and appropriated for the coming year, the same to be expended for the care and improvement of the several Cemeteries.
