Wereas the Subscribers a Committee chosen at a Legal Town Meeting held on the fifteenth Day of oct instant for the purpose of proposing to the Town at their adjournment for their considiration a suitable sum to call or invite Mr David Jewett candidate to be a Gospel Minister for the Ministry in this Town. We therefore upon Mature consideration have unaminously agreed upon the sum of five hundred Dollars to be paid to the sd. Mr David Jewett During his ministry in this Town as a salary annually with the improvement of the Town Parsonage

March 1805.


We The Subscribers having Met this 28th Day of March 1805 for the Purpose of Perambulating the Line & Renew- ing the Bounds Between Wenham & Danvers & haveing Proceeded as followeth viz.


Beginning at white oak Stump Marked D.W.B. standing in the wall between En. Paul Porter & Lut Corn1 Baker from thence westerly to a Willow tree Marked W-D near Leaches Meadow so called at the Easterly end of a Divisional wall on the farm owned by Isreal Putnam 3ª from thence to a stake standing on the westerly side of Wenham Causway which is the Bounds between said Wenham & Porter farm so called, from thence to a stake & stones standing at the Westerly end of said Causway about Six Poll at the West- ward that being the corner Bounds Between said Wenham, Danvers & Topsfield

Votd that the followin report of the committee Chosen at the Last Meeting to fix the compensation to Mr Anderson be taken & which passed in the affirmative Viz the Gentle- men of the Committee having Met report that the sum of- fered Mr Rufus Anderson for Preaching the Gospel in this Town is five hundred Dollars

Att a legal meeting of the inhabitants of Wenham holden by ajournment on Monday the 13th Day of May 1805 at 5 oclock P.M. for the purpose of receiving the report of the town committee relative to their conferring with Mr Rufus Anderson being called by sd town as their Minister of the Gospel and proposals of salary-


Voted Ist That the town of Wenham allow Mr Anderson one hundred and fifty Dollars annually for his support in case he should be deprived of the ability to preach the Gospel while he continues the Minister of sd Town


Voted (2) That Mr Anderson have the use of the parsonage land and the pew in the meeting house during his ministry Voted (3) That this meeting stand ajourned till Tuesday the 4th day of June to be holden at the Meeting house at 4 oclock P.M. Samuel Blanchard Esq Mod"

Att a legal meeting of the inhabitants of Wenham holden on Monday the 13th day of May 1805 for the purpose of seeing whether sd Town would chuse a person to represent them in the General Court of this State to be conveined on the last Mon day in May at Boston and transact other business as expressed in sd warrant which on file may more fully appear - - Voted (st) To dismiss the first article in the warrant.


(2) To chuse a Moderator Tyler Porter Esq chosen.
