Then agreed with Wm Dodge to keep Daniel Clinton one of the Poor of this town one year from this date for the sum of five shillings and three penc pr weak on conditions following (vis) said Dodge is to find said Clinton sufficient meet drink washing and Lodging and to return his cloths as good as when he rec'd them the Doc" and Nursing to be paid by the town in Case of Sickness in witness of all above We have hereunto set our hands.

At a meeting of the Selectmen of Wenham June 22 1786 then agreed with Ct Richard Dodge in behalf of Rodie Knowlton to keep the Wª Jane Knowlton one year from this date for three shillings pr week on the conditions following (viz) Sd Dodge is to find the Jane sufficient meet Drink washing and Lodging and to return her clothing and goods as good at the end of the year as when they Recd them. The town is to pay the Doc" and Nursing in Case of sickness In witness of all above we have hereunto set our hands.

In Order to perambulate the Line & Renue the bounds be- tween The town of Wenham and Beverly have proceeded in the manor following (vis)


Beginning at a White Oak tree standing in Lt Cornelius Bakers wall marked W-B-D- thence running a straight line South 71 deg and 30 miles East to a Stone in Ct George Crowningshields orchard sett in the ground marked W. B Distance 84 poles, and from said stone to Alfords stone is a straight line which is South 80 deg and 30 miles East 341 poles. thence to a corner of a wall on the East side of the Country Road 33 feet S: of an apple tree standing to the N: of Charles Dodges Land formerly owned by Balch marked W-B. hence to a stake and stones in Peter Woodburys land 3₺ feet N .: of a poplar tree marked, thence to a stone in or near the wall on the S: side of the highway A few rods to the E: of Jacob Edueard's barn one rod } Northerly of an apple tree marked W. B. thence to a Stake & Stones near Larcoms Corner (so called) marked W. B. thence to a heap of Stones on the East side of Longham meddow, then to a stake and stones on the East side of rack coon marsh (so called) thence to a White Oak stump in wall formaly owned by Nath1 Dodge marked W: B. thence turning Northerly to a White Oak tree on gravely Ridge marked W: B with stones about it thence more Easterly to a stump in Prestons Corner 3 feet southerly of a walnut tree marked W: B. thence to a stake and stones in a straight line from Prestons corner afore said to a pine tree marked which is A Bound between manchester Wenham & Beverly &C.

Billy Porter and Lt Cornelius Baker, thence Norwesterly to a stake and stones at or near the head of Leaches middow at the Easterly end of the Division- al Wall formerly between Porters & Andrews' land, thence to a stake and stones standing on the Westerly side of the East End of Wenham Causway which is the Bounds be- tween Wenham & Porters Farm thence to a stake and stones standing at the Westerly end of Wenham Causway About Six poles to the Westwards that being a corner bounds be- tween Wenham Danvers & Topsfield.

Persuant to a advertisment Dated ye 14th of June 1788 in order to hire out the Poor of the Town of Wenham to those persons that may appear to take them for the loest sum, on friday, the 20th Day of sd June, the Day being come a nom- ber of the inhabitants being assembled at the house of Tyler Porter Esq for the a bove purpos, the Selectmen proceeded to set up the following poor on these Conditions (viz) the Per- sons to home they should be struck of shall find sd poor sutable victuals Drink washing and Lodgin and keep their Cloths and other houshold goods that they may have in as Good repair as when they Rec'd them and in case of sicknes the afor sd Town is to pay the Doctor and nursing (viz) Thos Fisk & wife bid of by Ens William Dodge at 5/5 Pr week.
