At Oblong Mel .. 4th Kc. 1758, it was proposed to allow a P.M. to Friends at New Kilford, Oswego and Salisbury, 6th lo. 1753, Oswego P.M. established, but no reference to the others. 10th lo. 1760 a meeting allowed once a month for che year, with Com. to visit it. All these deeds being recorded in Liber 71 pp. 87, 89, 91, 93 and Liber 70 pp. 504; Arthursburg ( formerly Beekman) Meeting. The following data by John J. Haviland, sent in, Third lo. 1827, by Benjamin Haviland relates to this ground, held by the Orthodox since 1828.
"About 1837 Friends thinking they had forfeited their lease to the ground, applied to Lorgan Lewis for a deod of the right of soil, which was granted by the payment of about sixty dollars raised by subscription by the follow- ing, Jonathan Sweet, Nicholas Baker, John Haviland, Elnathan Sweet, Andrew Skidmore, Jesse Slidmore, Jonathan Ricketson, Gilbert Williams e Co. Lewis' deed, given in 1837, was recorded in Fonghkeepsie in 1838, County Clerk's office. A .quit claim deed to the right of soil ."
