Become a part of Jericho W.V. on its establishment 11th To. 24, 1789 .. The first meeting house burned 1816, the second in 1886. The third house, built 1889, is in the Town of Oyster Bay, near Farm- ingdale lassau Coe, T.Y. This was removed in 1935 a short distance, and stands inside the Farmingdale Village limits, its previous site being taken for park purposes .

NAUTICHET MONTHLY FEETING. (H) Established (second Fifth day in) Ilth or 12th To. 1831 or Ist Hice 1832, as a part of Westbury Q.M. At Y. 1. 1831, the peculiar situation of many of our Friends in New England disowned "for uniting with the sentiments of Friends in this Yearly Footing" was brought to the atten- tion of the Y.M. with the information that a meeting for worship had been set up on the island of. Nantucket, Wass., the Q."'s. wore authorized to receive such meetings as constituont branches. Adjourned sine die 12th No. 25, 1845, without authority of the Q.N. (Soc Q.". minutes Ist "o. 1846) . Yearly Meeting acquies- cod, but decided that the members must lose their rights unless applying person- ally to some M.". in Westbury Q.V. . Several did so, becoming members of M.Y. N.V.


On dissolution the records were not surrendered to the Q.". as directed, but retained by members of the x.y. and are probably still on Nantucket.

SERETSBURY MONTHLY MEETING. (I) A Six Weeks "coting, for Shrewsbury and Middletown, was established 6th Ne. 15, 1672 by a minute of what is now Westbury Q.M. 3d No. 21, 1672, and which is quoted in Shrewsbury Q.". list. From this Six Weeks Meeting developed Shrewsbury a.M. and Shrewsbury ".V. .It has comprisod the P."s. of Shrewsbury, Squan, Squancome and Toranomus, and has always been a part of Shrewsbury 2.", which lest was a part of Philadelphia Y.V. (H) until 1833, when it was transferred to New York Y.".


Hold in joint sossion continuously since about 7th.To. 1887, previous to which dato joint sessions wore frequently hold, but no minuto was made noting the change.

A meeting for worship was set up about 1665-70, and held at Pichard Lippincott's house till the meeting house was built in 1672, at the time of George Fox's visit. The meeting house, which is the third on that site, and was built in 1816, is in the Town of Shrewsbury, Monmouth Co., N.J. No minutes were ever recorded so far as known. (See under Deeds. ) Men's F.M. held at Francis Porden's, probably until the second meeting house was built. The Women's M.P. held at the Meeting house .

J.) from about 1684-1703, when George Keith, then a missionary of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, carried away the whole meeting to form the Episcopal Church of Freehold, tearing down the meeting house for material with which. to build the church, according to tradition but disproved (The P.". sometime called "Upper Freehold" and "Robins," farther west, was a part of Chesterfield ".":)

It was called the "Freparative Monthly Meeting at Woodbridge" 0th Month 16, 1704 to . 8th Month 11, 1706, after which the "Monthly Meeting at Woodbridge" till 5th Month 19, 1703, when it began to be held at Rahway, Plainfield and Woodbridge.
