Mfg. Co., in 1897; inspected manu- facturing plants in Europe, 1907-1908; was called home to assume management of the present Wessling Bros. foundry. This firm makes a specialty of castings for machine tools, which branch requires the highest degree of skill on the part of the molder and the best possible grade of material. Mr. Wessling is a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, a member of the Brighton Club and of Lafayette Lodge F. & A. M.

Born March 3, 1872, at Fairview, Guern- sey "County, Ohio; son of Dr. William Henry and Mary Kennon (MacPherson) Dunham. He is a teacher in the Medical Department of the University of Cincinnati, and is an active member of the Academy of Medicine, the Ohio State Medical Society and the American Medical Association, is visiting physician of the Cincinnati Tuberculosis Hospital and is president of the Anti- Tuberculosis League. Was married March 14, 1905, to Miss Amelia Hicken- looper, daughter of General Andrew Hick- enlooper, of Cincinnati. Henry Kennon Dunham is a direct descendant of Deacon John Dunham, who came over in the May- flower.

B. in 1896; then entered the University of Cincinnati Law School; graduated with degree of L.L.B. in 1899 and was ad- mitted to the bar the same year. Was subsequently admitted to the Federal District Court, Court of Appeals and Su- preme Court. In 1900 he formed the Cin- cinnati Iron & Steel Company, and since the death of his brother, Edward H. Busch, in 1911, has devoted most of his time to this business. Besides this he is heavily interested in some eight of ten corporations, acting as director, giving each some attention. He is a member of the Business Men's Club, K. of C,, Cin- cinnati B. P. O. E. No. 5, C. K. of O., Foresters, Duckworth Club, and Hyde Park Country Club.

Born June 14, 1887, at Cincinnati, Ohio; son of Louis W. and Caroline (Schilder- ink) Breitenbach. Educated at the paro- chial schools of Cincinnati; later took a business course at the evening sessions of the Ohio Mechanic's Institute and the Littleford School, and in the year 1911 graduated from the Inland Teclinical School, of Chicago, Ill .; traveled through most of the States in the Union familiar- izing himself with conditions in the dif- ferent trade plants. At the age of twelve became printer's devil with the firm of Chas. B. Ketterer & Co .; after serving full apprenticeship became identified with the Bradley & Sorin Co., and later with the U. S. Lithograph Co., at Nor- wood, Ohio. In June, 1911, established the Breitenbach Linotyping Co,, at 218 Post Square, and in 1913, moved to the Cohen Bldg., 128 Opera Place, where to- day the firm enjoys the distinction of being the most modern and up-to-date linotyping plant in the State of Ohio and surrounding territory. Its trade extends throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. Mr. Breitenbach is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bremen Street Loan and Building Co .; member of Local Chapter P'-1-C-A, Prin- ters' League of America, Ben Franklin Club, Knights of Columbus and C. K. of O.

Born October 12, 1849; son of Marx and Theresa (Hartz) Leiser. A Cincinnati product, home-grown and hand-spanked; educated in the Cincinnati public schools and in the College of Hard Knocks. Par- ents came to Cincinnati early in the 40's. Mother's brother was one of the pioneer builders of the Panama Canal. Was for seventeen years connected with the firm of Stix, Krouse & Co., of this city, as their confidential man; has since been connected with Cohen & Co. Is a director and officer in five different corporations. A member of the Cuvier Press Club, Phoenix Club, a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner.

Leo. J. Lowman needs little introduc- tion here. He is well known as senior partner of L. J. Mr. Lowman is one of Cincinnati's lead- ing citizens and resides at 668 Gholson Avenue.


THOMAS FORD.

Born October 11, 1846, at Mount Sav. age, Maryland; son of Owen and Mary (Nealon) Ford. Educated in public schools of Newport, Ky. Soon after leav- ing school offered his services in support of the federal government. Was connect- ed with the supply department at Coving- ton. Ky. Later he joined the Twenty- third Corps under Gen. Schofield. Was captured by Confederates in April, 1865. Soon afterward was paroled at Monroe, North Carolina, and was subsequently enabled to join his old corps. Abont 1874 Mr. Ford associated with John G. Hetch. John G. Ellerhorst and Peter N. Bardo under the title of the Bourbon Copper & Brass Works and purchased the plant of Samuel Cummings & Son. In 1891 Mr. Ford and Mr. Bardo bought ont the other partners. In 1904 the business was incorporated as the Bourbon Copper & Brass Works Company, with Mr. Ford as president and Mr. Bardo as secretary and treasurer.

Born August 8. 1867, at College Hill, Cincinnati, Ohio; son of Robert and Sarah J. Simpson. Father of Scotch Irish an- cestry and a pioneer in the Insurance business in Cincinnati. Educated in Col- lege Hill public school and Belmont Col- lege. Upon leaving school engaged in the insurance business, the taste and ability for which were no doubt inherited from his father, and is at present agent for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co., of Newark, N. J., and a director in sev- eral other corporations.

Born September 29, 1889, at Cincinnati, Ohio; son of William H. and Eliza Wade Chatfield. Educated at College Hill pub- lic school and Ohio Military Institute. In 1910 started as salesman for Stanley B. Ashbrook; in 1912 was elected secre- tary and treasurer and the name of the firm was changed to the Ashbrook & Chatfield Co .; in the fall of 1913 Mr. Thos. Morgan and Mr. Chatfield purchased Mr. Ashbrook's interest in the company and changed the name of the firm to the Chat- field & Morgan Co. Member Cincinnati Stock Exchange; Rotary, Automobile and Fort Mitchell Country Clubs.


GEORGE H. FROEHLICH.


Former President Cincinnati Lithographing Company.


Born December 20. 1851, in Germany; son of Christian and Catherine Froeh lich. Came to Cincinnati with his parents in 1855. Educated in Cincinnati public schools. Served apprenticeship with Ehrgott & Krebs Lithographing Co., and in 1869 was made superintendent of that firm. For the past twenty-two years has been connected with the Cincinnati Lith- ographing Co. Has been president of the Molitor Loan & Bldg. Co. for the past twenty-five years. Member Royal Ar- canum.
