Made Sergeant Octo- ber 17, 1917, and sailed for France June 4, 1918. Sergeant Kelly was in the St. Mihiel of- fensive and Argonne Forest drive. Returned to the United States May 22, 1919.


KEMP, REYNOLD GUY- Son of J. H. and Ada Kemp. Born August 19, 1896. Was in- ducted into service in May. 1918. Sent to Camp Greenleaf and at- tached to Base Hospital No. 69. He was later transferred to Camp Meade. Made Corporal, and August, 1918, sailed for France. Corporal Kemp re- turned to the United States May 6, 1919, and was honorably dis- charged later that month.


KERN, JOSEPH W .- Born December 21, 1891. Enlisted July 26, 1918, with the Engineers Corps. He was sent to Camp Lee, later Fort Benjamin Har- rison. Was made First Sergeant. and honorably discharged from service December 9, 1918.


KENZLEITER, WILLIAM ANTHONY, 19 Addison St .- Born December 20, 1895. Was inducted into service October 22, 1917. Sent to Fort Hunt and placed with Battery C, 37th Coast Artillery. Later transferred to Camp Hancock, Camp Eustis, Ft. Howard, and Newport News. Was five hundred miles out at sea when armistice was signed and he was recalled. KINDER, ARBIE ERWIN- Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kin- der, 301 Broad St. Born Janu- ary 14, 1895, Inducted into serv- ice April 26, 1918. Sent to Camp Sherman, placed with Company C, Ammunition Train No. 308, 83rd Division. Transferred to Camp Hamstead. June 13. 1918, sailed for France. Private Kinder was honorably discharged May 14. 1919.


KING, HARRY LEROY- Son of Mr. and Mrs. F. S. King. 38 Springfield Ave. Born Janu- ary 7. 1893. Enlisted with Com- pany H. Ioth Infantry, and was sent to Camp Hancock. He was made Corporal. Sailed for France with Company H, and was wounded in the Battle at Chateau Thierry. King returned from overseas Corporal November 26, 1918.


KIRCHNER, ROBERT-Son of L. F. Kirchner, 67 LeMoyne Ave. Born August 12, 1896. Enlisted May 27. 1918, in the Navy. He was sent to Section Base, Cape May, then to Wis- sahickon Barracks. Was an ap- prentice Seaman, and was re- leased from active service De- cember 18, 1918.


KNESTRICK, AUSTIN NEWTON-Son of Mr. and Mrs. Davis Knestrick, 130 Mur- ray Ave. Born March 26, 1897. Enlisted April 27, 1917, with Headquarters Company, 110th Infantry, 28th Division, and went to Camp Hancock with that out- fit. May 3, 1918, he sailed over- seas. Was through all the bat- tles with the 28th until he was gassed October 1. 1918, in the Argonne Forest offensive. Pri- vate Knestrick returned to the United States May II. 1919.

Returned to the United States May 10, 1919, and United States May 10, 1919. Honorably discharged May 25. 1919.


KINSELY, GEORGE Born in 1898. Was inducted into service June 1, 1918. Was sent to Chattanooga and Brooklyn with Company C, 52nd Division. He sailed for France in July, 1918.

He was sent to Camp Forrest, placed with the Ioth Engineers, 2nd Casual Bat- talion. Knox was made Ser- geant, and was honorably dis- charged from service January 2, 1919.

KRIGLINE, EDMUND G .- Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry . Krigline, 511 E. Maiden St. Born April 25, 1898. Enlisted December 18, 1916, with the 27th Medical Corps. He was sent to the Philippine Islands and Si- beria. Krigline was made Ser- geant.


KUNSELMAN, FRED E .- + Son of D. E. Kunselman, 137 Fayette St. Born November 19, 1895. Was inducted into service September 17, 1917. Was sent to Camp Sherman and placed with the Headquarters Company ,of the 330th Artillery. He was ap- pointed Sergeant Major, and was honorably discharged from ser- vice December 17, 1918.


KURTZ, KARL VICTOR- Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kurtz, 716 Beech St. Born June 20, 1895. Enlisted in Air Service. Was sent to Kelly Field, and attached to the 184th Aero Squadron. He was transferred to 107th Photo Squadron. Sailed overseas June 30, 1918. Returned to the United States April 28, 1919, and was honorably dis- charged from service May 8, 1919.


KURTZ, CHRISTOPHER HERMAN-,Son of Philip Kurtz, 37 Addison Ave. Born October 13, 1888. Was inducted into service September 20, 1917. Sent to Camp Sherman, and was placed with the Provision Supply Sub-Station. No. I. He was given the rank of Corporal. Sailed overseas in June, 1918.


KURTZ, HARRY PHILIPS -Son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kurtz, 37 Addison St. Born February 16, 1892. Was in- ducted into service September 19, 1917. He was sent to Camp Lee, appointed cook, and sailed for France in May, 1918. Kurtz returned to the United States May 30, 1919.

LONG, JOHN, 304 Houston St .- Born February 12, 1893. Was inducted into service Sep- tember 20, 1917. Sent to Camp Sherman and placed with Com- pany M, IIth Infantry, 5th Divi- sion. He was then transferred to Camp Forrest and sailed from Camp Merritt April 24, 1918. Private Long was wounded by a machine gun fire November 5, 1918. Was honorably discharged from service April 13, 1919.


LONGO, CARLO, 280 Hous- ton St .- Born December 5, 1897. Was inducted into service Aug- ust 30, 1918 and sent to Camp Lee. There he was placed with Company E, and honorably dis- charged from the service of the United States December 23, 1918.

LOWREY, DAVID PERRY FITZSIMMONS-Son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Lowrey. Born June 21, 1895. Was inducted into service August 30, 1918, and sent to Camp Lee. He was attached to Company M, 12th Infantry, and was appointed Corporal No- vember 13, 1918. Corporal Low- rey was honorably discharged from service December 12, 1918.


LEE, FRANK-Son of John Lee, 1068 Jefferson Ave. Born March 16, 1889. Enlisted April 24, 1917, and was assigned to Fort Leavenworth, later trans- ferred to Fort Bliss. He was placed with Company C, Signal Corps, 2nd Division, and went overseas with that outfit Decem- ber 24, 1917. Private Lee was slightly gassed in the Argonne offensive.

LYON, RUSSEL-Son of Mrs. Burt Wright, 20 Brown Ave. Born August 6, 1896. Was inducted into service September 3, 1918. Sent to Camp Forrest, and was attached to Company A, 124th Engineers. Private Lyon was honorably discharged from service December 23, 1918.


LYTLE, WILLIAM STEELE -Son of Mrs. Nancy Lytle, 35 Hall Ave. Born April 5, 1890. Enlisted October 5, 1917. Was sent to Camp Sherman and attached to Campany E, 6th In- fantry. He was transferred to Camp Forrest. Sailed overseas April 5, 1918. Was appointed Corporal. Was gassed and wounded. Returned to the United States in January, 1919, and was honorably discharged from service, February 8, 1919.


MAGNONE, JOSEPH, 1220 Jefferson Ave .- Born in March 1894. Was inducted into service August 6, 1918, and sent to Camp Sherman. There he was placed with Company C, 158th Depot Brigade, and was honorably dis- charged from service November 28, 1918.


MAGNONE, JAMES-Son of Ralph Magnone, 1220 Jefferson. Born in December, 1889. Was inducted into service August 7, 1918, and was sent to Camp Sher- man. He was attached to Com- pany C, and honorably discharged from the service of the United States November 28, 1918.


MARBLE, JOSEPH R .- Son of Joseph J. Marble, III W. Maiden St. Born August 1, 1892. Enlisted with Company H, 110th Infantry, 28th Division, Septem- ber 15, 1916. He served on the Mexican Border. Sailed for France May 3, 1918, and was in the Argonne Forest and Verdun sector. First class private Marble returned to the United States May 12, 1919, and was honorably discharged from service May 23, 1919.

MARBLE, ROY H .- Son of J. J. Marble, III W. Maiden St. Born November 30, 1896. Was inducted into service April 3, 1918, and was sent to Camp Lee. He sailed for France May 17, 1918. Returned to the United States April 20, 1919, and was honorably discharged three days later.


MARCHESE, LUCIDO, 286 Houston St .- Born June 14, 1889. Was inducted into service Octo- ber 5, 1917, and placed with Com- pany 7, 165th Infantry, 42nd Division, and sailed for France August 21, 1918. He was in most of the large battles, among them the Meuse Argonne' offen- sive. Honorably discharged May 7, 1919.


MARGERUM, WILLIAM K. -Son of William B. Margerum, 135 W. Wheeling St. Born Sep- tember 12, 1918. Was inducted into service and sent to Camp Lee. Private Margerum was honorably discharged from ser- vice January 17, 1919.


MARGERUM, JOHN L .- Son of William B. Margerum, 135 W. Wheeling St. Born Feb- ruary 3, 1890. Was inducted into service October 6, 1917. He was sent to Camp Sherman, Camp Pike, Camp Jackson, and sailed from Camp Merritt for France May 21, 1918.


MARGERUM, JULIUS G .- Son of William B. Margerum, 135 W. Wheeling St. Born Aug- ust 8, 1892. Was inducted into service October 6, 1917, and was sent to Camp Sherman. Later he was transferred to Camp Pike, Camp Jackson, and Camp Mer- ritt. He sailed overseas May 21.


MARINO, GABRIELE EDW. -Son of Fred Marino, 292 E. Maiden St. Born January 20, 1895. Enlisted June 14, 1918. He was attached to Motor Truck Company 495, Motor Supply Train 421, trained at the Univer- sity of Pittsburgh, and was transferred to Camp Joseph E. Johnston as an expert automobile. mechanic. Went overseas Sep- tember 17, 1918. Returned to the United States December 10, 1918. Corporal Marino was honorably discharged December 27, 1918.
