Funcral services and interment will be conducted in Reno. Ne- vada. Burial will be at the Mt. View Cemetery in Reno where Mrs. Hindman will be laid to rest with her husband Clyde. deceased in 1969.

A funeral service was con- ducted Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Lake Isabella for Vic- tor Frederick "Vic" Ode of Wofford Heights. Officiating was Rev. Louis Fabrizius pastor. Mr. Ode passed away Sept. 14 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Ruby of Wofford Heights; daughter Annette Page of Redondo Beach: son Gerald Ode of San Francisco; sisters Lois of Kansas, Helen of Washington, Alice of Kansas; eight grand- children and two great grand- children. Mr. Ode was retired from the Rockwell International Corp and had resided in the Kern Valley for the past 16 years.

Richard Irvin Hansen of Larsen Tract passed away Sept. 18 at the Kern Valley Hospital. He is sur- vived by his wife Patricia of Larsen Tract; son Steve of West Covina; daughters Kathleen Ross of Walnut, Garrie Kelly Tiemens of Hollywood; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Richard Hansen was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Navy who served aboard patrol craft in the Aleutian Islands and Asiatic- Pacific region. Locally he was a member of the Eagles in Mt. Mesa and had been a resident of the Kern Valley for the past 10 years.

Doris Elizabeth Moore
Doris Elizabeth Moore passed away suddenly Sept. 19 at the San Joaquin Hospital following a heart attack. She was born a twin on Dec. 17, 1919 to Fred and Hattie Meyer in Iowa. She was 71 years old.
Doris and her husband Ed were among the first to buy lots in the Recder Tract and was a part time resident since the carly 1960s. After retiring and living alone for a year, she became actively in- volved in foster care. Doris was a memberof the Kern Valley Loyal Moose Auxiliary, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Eagles, the Lake Isabella-Bodfish Property Own- ers Assoc.
She is survived by her loving daughters Rita Kay Fortney of Rhonert Park, CA Barbara Carol Berghofer of Bermuda Dunes, CA; grandchildren Cathy Globe, Doyle Fortney, Jr .; Dee Dee Lopez, Karen Navarro, Robert Fortney and Barbie Fortney, all of Rhonert Park. CA, Michael Ace. of Alaska and Michelle Lacoffof Simi Valley. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchil- dren. four foster children; three brothers Ernest Meyer of Mt. Mesa: Chas Meyer and wife Evelyn of Fairview Heights, IL; Fred Meyer and wife Ann of Souix City, Iowa: four sisters, twin Kathy Watkins of Woodson Terrace, MO; Ginger Henderson of Highland, IL, Marion Demboski of St. Charles, MO and Margaret McAlister of Lake Isabella.
Doris was buried in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Petaluma. CA following a service at the Parent-Sorensen Chapel. Pierce Bros. Praiswater od Canoga Park handled the arrangements.
Clark "Slim" Fred Hanson
Private cremation arrange- ments were made for Clark "Slim" Fred Hanson of Lake Isabella. Slim was born Nov. II, 1909 in Bakersfield and died Oct. 15 in Bakersfield after a long illness, he was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia who died Aug. 18, 1986.
He is survived by his sisters Lois and Rosalee both of Bakersfield, nieces and nephews of Bakersfield and Los Angeles.
Donald Yeargan
A graveside service was held Monday. Oct. 21 at 1 1 a.m. at the Kern Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights for Donald Lee Yeargan of Wofford Heights. Officiating was pastor David Snow of the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella.
Mr. Yeargan was born in Ful- lerton on May 11, 1923 and dicd Oct. 15 in Bakersfield. He was 68 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Iva of Wofford Heights; daughters Janct Halbrook of Bakersfield. Dawn Carlon of Bakersfield. Cynthia Peredoc of Bakersfield: brother Dale Yeargan of Onyx and mother Lorene Yeargan of. Wofford Heights: six grand children and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Yeargan was a Mason and an Elk.

A funeral service was held Oct. 22 at the Valley Mortuary chapel in Lake Isabella for James "Jim" Henson of Southlake. Officiating was Dale Davis, pastor of the South Shore Fullgospel Fellow- ship. Mr. Henson was born June 16. 1925 in Chillicothe, Texas and died Oct. 17 in Southlake. He was 66 years old.
He is survived by his wife Della of Southlake, children Bryon Henson of Rialto, Brenda Nagle of Rialto. Beverly Easley of Federal. Washington. Bonnie Chastain of Weldon, Sharon Dolan of Vancover. B.C., Beverly Rogers of Kansas ;; sisters Lottie Hornbeck of Washington, Ruth Wells of Texas and brother Ernest Henson of Texas. He is also sur- vived by 23 grand children and 22 great grand children.
Burial will be Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Forestlawn. Covina Hills.

Doris Hall
A funeral service was con- ducted Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Mt. View Southern Baptist Church for Doris U. Hall of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Deryl Lackey, pastor.
Mrs. Hall passed away Sept. 27 at the San Joaquin Commu- nity Hospital. She is preceded in death by her son Connie dece ased in 1986 and survived by her husband of 60 years Marlin of Lake Isabella; son Roy of Lake Isabella, daughter Norma of Lake Isabella, brothers Roy Tullos of Florida, Victor Tullos of Cali- fornia and W.H. Tullos of Cali- fornia, sisters Dorothy Jones of Florida, Juanita Ross of CA, six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Doris was a member of the Grandmother's Club 94 and Mt. View Southern Baptist Church.
She has been a resident of the Kern Valley for 21 years, having moved here from Garden Grove.
Born May 24, 1913 in Konawa, Oklahoma, Doris Uline Hall was 78. Interment at the Kern Valley cemetery. Arrangements; Valley Mortuary.

Danny Loy Deaver
Funeral services were held Sept. 26 at the Mt. Mesa Church of Christ with Pastor Jon Rowe officiating. Mr. Deaver was a member of the Church of Christ since 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda. They were married March 11, 1941 in Oklahoma and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 11, 1991 which included a boat trip to Mexico.
Danny is also survived by two daughters, Shirley Deaver and Patricia Titgen of Costa Mesa and two grandchildren Michael Ray Bahon and Michelle Licbourtz both of Palm Springs; a brother Edd Deaver of Okla- homa.
Danny graduated from South Eastern State Teachers College in Oklahoma and taught in vari- ous schools including Oklahoma and California where he was a basketball and baseball coach in junior and high school. Danny also played some baseball in the minor league and played profes- sional basketball with the Okla- homa Indians.
He served three years in Ger- many in World War Il under General Paton and received honorable discharge as First Sgt.
In 1950, he was listed in "Who's Who" as the oldest bas- ketball player in college. After moving to California in 1957, he worked for a time at Duncan In- dustries in Los Angeles.
In 1972, the Deavers moved to Lake Isabella where they owned and operated the South Fork Re- alty for about 12 years.
Danny was a member also of the VFW.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Austin, Glenn Goins, Doyle Anders, Joe Thomas. Mr. Deaver passed away in Long Beach vet- erans hospital after a battling with a rare blood disease. Burial was in Riverside veterans cemetery.

Bea Adair
A funeral service was con- ducted Wednesday, Oct. 23 graveside at the Kern Valley Cemetery for Beatrice Lillian "Bea" Adair of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Louis Fabrizius. pastor of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of Lake Isabella. Mrs. Adair passed away Oct. 19 in Riverside.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Adair, deceased July 26. 1984. She is survived by her sons Earl of Riverside, James of Riverside, daughters Darlene Grant of Montana. Marueen Burnett of Huntington Beach. aunt Bernice Zaby of Southgate. 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Bea was a men- ber of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Lake Isabella and the Kern Valley Hospital Auxiliary.
She had been a resident of the Kern Valley for the past 21 years.

Mrs. Peterson passed away at home Oct. 19 following illness. She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Onyx: son Raymond Paul King of Florida: daughter Gertrude Mavis also of Florida; two grandchildren and one great- granchild.
Mrs. Peterson was retired from Rockwell International Corp and had been a resident of the Kern Valley for the past 18 years.

Brad Beck
A funeral service was con- ducted graveside at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bakersfield for Brad Allan Beck of Bakersfield.

Brad passed away Oct. 18 in Bakersfield as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
He is survived by his parents Michael and Janis Beck of Lake Isabella: brother Todd of Bakersfield; sisters Kellee of Bakersfield and Stacy of Hun- tington Beach.

George Keigley
A funeral service was con- ducted Tuesday, Nov. 5 graveside at the Kern Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights near Lake Isabella for George Keigley of Mt. Mesa. Officiating was Rev. David Long, pastor of the Grace Bible Church of Lake Isabella. Mr. Keigley passed away Oct. 30 at home.
He is preceded in death by his wife Evalyn deceased Sept. 8, 1991 and brother Mac Keigley. deceased June 2, 1991.
George Keigley is survived by his brother and sister in law Marshall and Dorothy Keigley of Taft: two nieces and four nephews in Taft and Bakersfield; one sis- ter in law Noris Keigley resides in Taft and many relatives and friends in California and Okla- homa.
George Keigley was a combat veteran of the U.S. Army during WW 11. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. He was retired after 25 years in the service with Pioneer Mercantile where he worked with his wife in Taft and Bakersfield.
Born Oct. 1. 1925 in Sapulpa. Oklahoma. George Keigley was 66 years of age.

Mrs. Hanawalt passed away Oct. 28 at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield.
She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas Hanawalt de- ceased Jan. 20. 1986. Shirley is survived by her son Wayne of Southlake: daughter Diane Uhler of Bakersfield and grandchildren.
Shirley Hanawalt was a member of the Mt. View So. Baptist Church: a founding member of the Kern Valley Hospital Foundation. At present she had represented the city hostess in the Kern Valley and was the holder of a California building contractor's license.

Roy Hall
A funeral service was con- ducted Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Mt. View Southern Baptist Church. Lake Isabella for Roy Hall of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Deryl Lackey, pastor. Mr. Hall passed away Nov. 1 at the Kern Valley Hospital in Mt. Mesa.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Lake Isabella; sons Keith A. Hall of Lake Isabella, Kenny A. Hall of Bakersfield: daughter Kandi Ann Lewis of Saugus: Roy's father Marlin Cluey Hall of Lake Isabella. Roy is also survived by his sister Norma of Lake Isabella: granddaughters Jennifer and Elizabeth.
Roy Hall is preceded in death by his mother Doris deceased Sept. 27, 1991 and brother Connic Mack Hall, deceased in 1986.
Roy was the manager of the new Crossroads Texaco and minimart in Lake Isabella. He attended church at the Mt. View Southern Baptist church and had been a resident of the Kern Val- ley for the past 17 years. having moved here from the Los Ange- les area where he worked for the McDonnell-Douglas Corp. as a truck driver.
Born Feb. 21. 1940 in Ardmore. Carter County, Okla- homa. Roy Allen Hall as 5 1 years of age.

Helena Marie Ellis
Helena Marie Ellis of Wofford Heights was born in Kiel, Ger- many in 1902 and entered this country in 1923. She married Erskine Ellis in lowa in 1926. He preceded her in death, in 1965.
She moved to California, re- siding in Wofford Heights in her retiring years. Her only sister preceded her in death in 1988. Close relatives are her niece and nephew Harold and Lucille Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Helena Marie Ellis passed away Nov. 1, at the San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield.

John Carpenter, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene Lake Isabella and in- terim pastor of the Weldon Methodist church. Mr. Frank passed away at home Nov. 4 following illness.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years. Carol of Lake Isabella; mother in law Julie Johnson of Bodfish: daughters Cindy Walden of Reno, Liz Martinez of Lake Isabella, Julie Ferrato of Reno, Denise Potts of Rockland; son Chris Frank of Battle Mountain, Nevada; seven grandchildren and many loving brothers and sisters.
Dave Frank had worked in the construction for the past 40 years and had been a resident of the Kern Valley since 1967.

Phil Fischer
Philmore Melvin "Straw Hat Phil" Fischer of Wofford Heights passed away Nov. 5 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law Linda and Edward Mutchall of Southlake; son and daughter in law Ronald and Annette Fischer of Sacramento: daughter and son in law Kathy and Cecil Bell of Colorado Springs. Colorado: daughter and son in law Margaret and Ray Ramas also of Colorado Springs; son and daughter in law Larry and Lori Fischer of Indiana; son and daughter in law John and Colleen Fischer of Washington; brothers Harold. Arthur and Seymour all of New York State; sisters Gladys Eldred of New York and Dorothy Murphy of In- diana; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Phil Fischer was a WW 11 veteran of the U.S. Army who was captured in combat by Ger- man Forces in 1944 and was re- Icased in 1945 when allied aircraft stopped a POW train. Mr. Fischer was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a Disabled American Veteran and a Life Member of DAV KRV chapter 54 and VFW.
Phil was a retired machinist who worked for Marquardt Corp in Van Nuys. He had resided in the Kern Valley for the past 15 years.
Born Jan. 16, 1911 in Valatie (pronounced Valay-Shus) town- ship, Columbia County, the apple growing region of central New York state. Philmore Melvin Fischer, Jr. was 80 years of age.

Hugh Ross Jeanson
A funeral service was con- ducted Sunday, Nov. 10 at the Highland Chapel United Meth- odist Church in Lake Isabella for Hugh Jeanson of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. James Lee, Pastor of the Valley Community Church of Lake Isabella.
Mr. Jeanson is survived by his wife Leslie of Lake Isabella: daughters Judy Protiva of Peace Valley. Missouri, Rosanna Silvester of Anchorage, Alaska: five grandchildren; Hugh's mother Orla Mac Jeanson resides in Bakersfield: sister Olive Mae Graves, of Reno.
Mr. Jeanson was also survived by niece Gaye Graves of Palo Alto and nephew Garrett Graves of Wofford Heights.
Hugh was a founding member of the Kern Valley Hospital Board of Trustees. Hugh Jeansons' ef- forts led to the creation of the Kern Valley Hospital District. He operated his own insurance business in Bellflower and Lake Isabella for a total of 32 years. During WW II, Hugh served with the U.S. Army in combat in the Central Pacific region. During the attack of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7. 1941. He was in Honolulu and is a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Assoc. KRV chapter 19, the VFW and the Rotary.
Born Dec. 25, 1918 in Bell- flower, Hugh was 72 years of agc.
Interment at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. Ar- rangements: Valley Mortuary.

OBITUARY -
Elizabeth Mary Jones Tucker
Elizabeth Mary Jones Tucker, 74, of Lake Isabella passed away Nov. 25, 1991 at San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakers- field after a brief illness. Crema- tion followed under the direction of Mish Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Sunset Cemetery in Ontario, Oregon.
Elizabeth Tucker was born Sept. 21, 1917 in St. Paul, Min- nesota, the daughter of Joseph Ellis Jones and Agnes Virginia Judge Jones. She was raised and educated in Luverne, Minnesota and graduated from Mankato Teacher's College in Mankato, Minnesota. During World War Il, she worked in the defense plants in St. Paul, Minnesota. On April 27, 1951 she married Shirleigh Denton Tucker, Jr in Omaha, Nebraska and the moved to a ranch above Brogan, Oregon. They raised four children and later divorced. Mrs. Tucker moved to Boise, Idaho in 1974 and did private duty nursing. In May, 1990, she moved to Lake Isabella to live with her daughter and family.
'Elizabeth Tucker is survived by two daughter Mrs. Lauren (Virginia) Spence of Lake Isabella and Mrs. Jon (Elizabeth) Dawley of Lewiston, Idaho; two sons, Denton and wife Debi and Wil- liam, both of Brogan, Oregon; three brothers, David of Ogilvie, Minnesota, Herbert of St. Paul and James of Chicago, Illinois; four granddaughters Kathleen and Gwendolyn Spence of Lake Isabella; Carolyn Dawley of Lewiston, Idaho and Haylet Tucker of Brogan, Oregon and five grandsons, Alan Dawley and Douglas and Frederick Tucker of Oregon and Jon and Matthew Spence of Lake Isabella. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joseph.

OBITUARY
Jane Bedwell
Jane Austin Bedwell of Squir- rel Valley passed away Nov. 25 at the home of her daughter, Judy following illness.
Jane is survived by her hus- band of 56 years Howard, daughter and son in law Sandra and Douglas Ernest of Palmdale; daughter and son in law Judith and Richard Halgren of Squirrel Valley; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Bide Austin of Sepulveda and sister Constance Nicholson of Scal Beach.
Jane and Howard Bedwell built their home in Squirrel Valley in 1969 and retired to the Kern Val- ley in 1976.
Jane was an active member of the Grandmother's Club 94 and showed her talents in ceramics and doll making classes at the senior center in Lake Isabella. Born June 23, 1916 in Allison, Butler County, Iowa, Jane Bedwell was 75 years of age.
