We present below the routes of travel in Connecticut, as they were Jan. 1, 1856. There will be some variations in the course of the year; but the number of trains on the different roads, and the connections, will remain substan- tially the same. Any changes can be noted on the margin, by such as desire frequent reference to them.


NEW YORK AND NEW HAVEN RAILROAD.


Trains leave New Haven for New York, 5.30, 7.00, 9.35 A. M., 1.45, 4.30, 8.25 P. M.


New Haven for Bridgeport, 10.20 A. M., 5.25 P. M.


Norwalk for New York, 6.00 A. M.


New York for Norwalk, 5.15 P. M., & Saturday 10.30 P. M. New York for New Haven, 7.00, 8.00, 12.00 A. M., 3.00, 3.20, 4.00 P. M.


Bridgeport for New Haven, 7 A. M., 4.25 P. M.

STONINGTON AND NEW YORK .- Leave Pier No. 2 North River, New York, about 4 P. M., and Stonington about 7 P. M. in connection with the Stonington Railroad.


NORWICH AND NEW YORK .- Leave Pier No. 18 North River, New York, about 4 P. M., and Norwich about 9.30 P. M .- stopping at New London-in connection with the Norwich and Worcester Railroad.


HARTFORD AND NEW YORK .- Leave Peck Slip, New York, about 4 P. M. and Hartford about 2 P. M .; stopping on the Connecticut River at Rocky Hill, Middletown, Mid- dle Haddam, Higganum, East Haddam, Goodspeed's Land- ing, Chester, Deep River, Essex, Lyme and Saybrook.


NEW HAVEN AND NEW YORK .- Leave Peck Slip, New York, at 3 P. M., and New Haven, 11 P. M. In summer, a day boat runs on alternate days.


BRIDGEPORT AND NEW YORK .- Leave Peck Slip, New York, 10 A. M., and Bridgeport, 7.45 P. M. Connects with Railroad Train to New Haven.


Steamers ply between Norwalk and New York, and other places in the western part of the State.
