Jan. 6, 1763, Deborah Cushing, dau. of Eli- jah and Elizabeth (Barker) Cushing of Pem. She d. in Hing. 1 Oct. 1823, æt. 85 yrs. He d. 30 Aug. 1802, æt. 80 yrs. He preached the Artillery Election sermon in 1767, and the Annual Election sermon before the members of the Legislature, in 1768; also the funeral sermon at the interment of Rev. Ebenezer Gay of Hing. He received the degree of D. D. from Har. Coll in 1790, and relinquished public labors in March, 1799, having discharged the duties of pastor for a period of fifty-six years.
