JONAS (III. p. 287 : note ; also III. p. 86: 7, v.), who is called of Boston on Hing. Town rec's, and Coh. church rec's, is said to have been of Bolton. The mistake of a single letter will often lead one astray. In the present instance it is believed that Bolton is the correct name of the place referred to as the residence of Jonas Whitcomb.
