To Walter A Outrane Constable of the town of Warren, in the bounty of Horcester, Greeting!


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify the Inhabitants of the Town of Warren, qualified to role in elections and in town affairs, to meet at their respective voting Procents in said Warren, on Tuesday the third day of November at nine thirty O'clock in the Gorenoon, then and there to bring in their voles to the Election Officers for Fifteen Electors of Resident and Vice President! Governor; Lieutenant Governor' Secretary' Treasurer; Auditori Attorney General: Councilor Senator: Representative in the General bout; black of Courts; County Commissioner; Representative in Congress And Ino Articles of Amendment to the constitution relative to establishing Biennial Collections of State Officers and members of the several bout all to be ow one Ballot.


First Article of Amendment. The governor, and lieutenant governor, and councillors, shall hold their respective offices for two years next following the first Wednesday in the January succeeding their election, and until others are chosen and qualified in their stead.


The first election to which this article shall be that held on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November in the year eighteen hundred and monety

eight; and thereafter elections for the choice of all the officers before mentioned shall be held biennially on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November. All the provisions of the Constitution inconsistent with the provisions herein contained are hereby annulled. Second Article of Amendment,- Senators and represent- atives shall hold their respective offices for terms of two years, beginning with the first Wednesday in the January succeeding their election.


The first election to which this article shall apply shall be that held on the Tuesday next after the first Monday no November in the year eighteen hundred and ninety eight; and thereafter elections for the choice of senator and representatives shall be held biennially on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November. The general court shall assemble every year on the first Wednesday in January; and each general court shall, without any prochaineation or other act of the governor, be finally dissolved on the day preceding the day an- pointed for the first assembling of the next elected gener- al court,


All the provisions of the Constitution inconsistent with the provisions herein contained are hereby annu- lled.


Polls will be open at Ten O'clocktill and may be closed at Two O'clock P. M.


And you are directed to serve this Warrant, by posting up attested copies thereof, at each of the Post Offices in said Town, one copy on Town Hall Building and one on Firemans Hall West Haven ten days at least before the time for holding said meeting.

Nulcare (dem) and 26. C. Shepard (rep) were given the voters list at the ballot box. D. E. Graves (rep) had charge of the ballot box. Ballot box opened and shown to be empty at 10.12 A. M.
