Before consideration of the remaining Articles in the Warrant the Moderator made the following statement: "The Chair would like to express its appreciation to the members of the Appropriation Commit- tee, Chairman Tanguy and Secretary Newton, and all the members of the Committee, the Town Counsel, Board of Selectmen and head of various Committees, who have all been very helpful to the Chair in preparing for his first task as Moderator, and would ask the members of the Appropriation Committee to stand as I want them to be con- gratulated by the Town. I would like to have them stand and we give them a rising vote of thanks for their work, not in helping me in par- ticular but ther work for the Town." (Standing applause)
