Question No. 2 "Shall permanent members of the police department and of the fire department, including fire alarm personnel and fire fighter mechanics, of the town of Weymouth receive an increase in salary sothat they shall receive a minimum yearly salary of five thousand five hundred dollars for the first year of service , six thousand dollars for the second year of service, and six thousand three hundred dollars for the third and each succeeding year of service?" In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby notified to meet at the hall of the Weymouth High School (New), 1051 Commercial Street, East Weymouth, on
Monday, the 10th Day of June 1963
at seven o'clock and thirty minutes in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles (a copy of which is enclosed).

WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TOWN OF WEYMOUTH MONDAY, THE 10th DAY OF JUNE, 1963

To any of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth in said County. GREETING:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby re- quired to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid qualified to vote in Town affairs to meet in the hall of the (new) Weymouth High School, 1051 Commercial Street, (East) Weymouth, on
MONDAY, THE 10th DAY OF JUNE, 1963
at seven o'clock and thirty minutes in the evening, then and there to act upon the following Articles, namely:
ARTICLE 1. (By request of the Daniel L. O'Donnell Memorial Com- mittee). To see if the Town will accept the report of the Daniel L. O'Don- nell Memorial Committee, appointed under Resolution of the Annual Town Meeting of 1962, and dedicate the auditorium of the Weymouth High School as the "DANIEL L. O'DONNELL MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM". (Dedicatory Ceremonies will follow. )
ARTICLE 2. (By request of the Incinerator Building Committee). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing for the construc- tion of a municipal incinerator on Town owned land off Wharf Street shown on plan entitled "Plan of Incinerator Location-Town of Weymouth" dated April 25, 1963, No. 1490B duly filed in Town Clerk's Office, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 3. (By request of the Industrial Development Commission). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing for the services of consultants to the Industrial Development Commission, said sum to be expended under written contract approved by the Town Counsel, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 4. (By request of Town Accountant). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing for non-contributory pensions, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 5. (By request of Town Accountant). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing for unpaid bills of previous years, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 6. (By request of John D. Martin Post V. F. W. 9260). To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) for the purpose of preparing complete drawing and detailed speci- fications for the purchase of a cast bronze plaque to be inserted on the War Memorial honoring the 2nd Nicaraguan Insurrection Veterans of the Town of Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 7. (By request of Board of Selectmen and Chief of Fire Department). To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate by taxation, transfer from available funds and/or borrowing, for the purpose of acquiring by gift, purchase or by right of eminent do- main under General Laws, Chapter 79, as amended, a certain parcel of land located on Washington Street adjacent to the present Weymouth Land- ing Fire Station, said parcel of land being owned by Peter Cugini as shown on a plan of land entitled "Fire Station Addition, Weymouth Landing-Plan # 1491B" duly filed in the Town Clerk's Office, for the use of the Fire De- ' partment, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 8. (By request of Board of Selectmen and Chief of Fire Department). To see if the Town will vote to accept the following as a By-Law:
"Any building, or portion thereof, excepting a school or a church, hereafter erected, reconstructed, or altered, having more than 5000 square feet in any one floor area shall be provided with a complete and ap- proved installation of automatic sprinklers, pvodied that this By-Law shall not apply to any building of first class construction throughout and in which no combustible materials are kept, stored, sold, manufactured, processed or handled except in such small quantities as are usual for domestic use or for use in connection with and as incident to some business other than such keeping, storing, selling, manufacturing, processing or handling of combustibles. Any sprinkler system installed in accordance with this By-Law shall comply with the standards of the National Board of Fire Underwriters and shall meet with the approval of the Building Inspector of the Town. Floor area shall be the area of a floor between the external walls of a building or the area of a floor between the external walls and unpierced fire walls of a building, " or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 9. (By request of the Contributory Retirement Board). To see if the Town will vote to accept Chapter 488, Acts of 1961, being an act authorizing a city or town to grant annuities to the surviving spouse, or children of certain officials or employees who have been retired or pen- sioned under any non-contributory retirement law, or take any other action in relation thereto.
