ADJOURNED ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6, 1963


The Adjourned Annual Town Meeting was called to order at 7:45 o'clock in the evening of Wednesday, March 6, 1963, by the Annual Moderator, Mr. Philip T. Jones.


There were 170 Town Meeting Members present.


Prayer for Divine Guidance was offered by Rev. Donald C. Ward, Pastor of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in North Weymouth.


There were no Town Meeting Members to be sworn by the Moderator.


The Moderator declared a quorum present.


Tellers were appointed and sworn by the Moderator as follows:


1 st Division Mr. Gammell 2nd Division Mr. Butler 3rd Division Mr. Hollis


We now continue with consideration of the Articles in the Warrant.


Upon motion duly made by the Appropriation Committee, it was


UNANIMOUSLY VOTED: Reconsideration of Article 1 for the purpose of making certain corrections.

Item 2. For the Selectmen's Department $13,280.00


The salaries of the Selectmen are hereby fixed at $500. 00 for the Chairman and $400. 00 for four other members for the year. $150.00 is provided in the total sum for travel outside the Commonwealth, in accord- ance with Clause 34, Sec. 5, Chap. 40, of the General Laws, and $500.00 is included in miscellaneous expenses for necessary expenses which may be incurred by the Civil War Centennial program and display.
