Within past year conducted three record absolute auction salcs of unimproved property in N. Y. City; The Van Cort- landt Estate, 719 lots, sold for $1,447,385; Forster- Schmidt Estates, 462 lots, for $599,275; Morris Park Estates (conducted by order of State of N. Y. Bank- ing Dep't), 3,071 lots, for $3,779,750. Conducts many large out-of-town sales over the country, the latest, being estate of R. G. Dun, Dunmere, at Narragansett Pier, R. I. In three years, ending Dec. 31, 1909, sold at auction more than $100,000,000 worth of real estate in and around Greater N. Y. In year ending June 1, 1910, sold $81,000,000 worth of real estate, which is the record for any one year. Has charge of many exec's sales and appraisals and other matters pertain- ing to N. Y. real estate, in which is recognized as one of the foremost experts on values. In salc of property and stock of Third Av. R. R. of N. Y. City, was appt'd auctioneer, and sold railroad, March 1, 1910, for $26,- 000,000, largest auction sale on record.
