A petition from Goodwin Wilson, a Physician and Surgeon in the Hospital of the United States, praying a settlement of the do- preciation of his pay, agreeably to act of Assembly passed the first of October last, was read : and thereupon,
Resolved, That the Auditors be directed to settle the deprecia- tion of the pay of the said Goodwin Wilson, to commence from the time of his appointment as junior Surgeon in the said hospital : provided, he produce to the said Auditors, warrants of his several appointments.
An order was drawn on the Treasurer in favor of Mr. Francis Wade, for the sum of seventy-eight pounds five shillings and seven pence specie, balance of his account for rations furnished to the State fleet in the years 1776 and 1777.
The Council taking into consideration the exposed situation of the frontiers counties, the probability of invasions of them by par- ties of Indians, and the impossibility of obtaining particular ofders from the Council, for calling out in due time the militia of the said counties in such cases,
Ordered, That the Lieutenant of the counties of Northampton, Northumberland, Bedford, Westmoreland and Washington, respect- ively, be authorized & empowered to call out such and so many militia, according to law, as they may judge necessary for repelling the enemy.

A letter from his Excellency the President of Congress, of the sixth instant, was read, inclosing acts of Congress of the second and third instant, recommending to the several States to pass acts for the seizure and condemnation of all goods, wares and merchandises of the growth, produce, or manufacture of Great Britain, or any ter- ritory depending thereon, which shall be found on land within their respective jurisdictions, unless the same shall have been im- ported before the first day of March, 1782, or shall have been captured from the enemy ; and also, recommending to this State to settle the balance of pay and depreciation due to Doctors Glent- worth, W. Smith, J. Fallon, S. Duffield and S. Halling, late Phy- sicians and Surgeons in the general hospital, on the same princi- ples they settled with the other Physicians and Surgeons of the army, citizens of that State ; on consideration,
