The memorial of Messieurs Lacaze and Mallet, accompanied by a letter from Monsieur Marbois, praying that such part of the cargo of the ship Grand d' Estaing from Bourdeaux, as was origi nally intended for the West India market, may be exempted fra the duties, was read, and an order taken that a list of such part d the cargo as may fall within that description, may be presented in the consideration of Council.
A letter of instructions to the Surveyor General, agreeably tom act of Assembly intitled An Act for the sale of certain lasd therein mentioned, for the purpose of redeeming and paying of the certificates of depreciation given to the officers and soldiers of the Pennsylvania line, or their representatives; and for approprianių certain other lands therein mentioned, for the use of the said c& cers and soldiers, to be divided off to them severally, at the end d the war, was brought in by the President, read and approved.

The Comptroller General's reports upon the accounts of Bernard Dougherty and Michael. Huffnagle, Esquires, for rations foroisbel by contract to the Ranging companies and militia in the counties of Bedford and Westmoreland, were read and approved; and at order drawn in favour of each for their respective ballances, via :- To Mr. Dougherty for the sum of one thousand six hundred sal sixty-one pounds four shillings ; and to Mr Huffnagle for them of one hundred and eighty-three pounds one shilling and clone pence specie, to be paid out of the fund appropriated to the frootin defence.
Note-That the Secretary be directed to inform the Tree that Mr. Dougherty has agreed to take an order upon Bethel county, for the sum of four hundred pounds, and that Counele pect Mr. Huffnagle will take an order upon that of Westmorelsh for some part of the ballance due to him.
