On the application of a number of respectable inhabitants of e district of Southwark, representing that the health of this iy and neighborhood is greatly endangered by a number of sickly rsons lately arrived in the Brigg Congress, Alexander Davidsen Master, and by the ballast of the said vessel being thrown out on a wharf.


Ordered, That the Health Officer take effectual measures imme- stely to remove the said vessel one mile below the southern ands of the said district, to have the ballast remaining on board ere discharged ; that which has been already thrown out carried 'ay to a proper distance, and the vessel thorowly cleansed cod rified according to law; that, in like manner, he take memeses have the sickly persons aforesaid, distempered with any int .. us disease, immediately removed to the Pest houses on the Bet land.

The Comptroller General's report on the account of John Weitshe for rations issued to the troops of this State from the first day of Mareb 'till the first day of July, 1788, was read, approved. and an order drawn for the sum of five hundred and four pounds five shil- lings in specie, upon the Treasurer of the State, in favour of the said John Weitzle.


Note .- That Mr. Weitzle receives this order on condition that he.continue to supply the said troops agreeably to his former co- tract, and the proposals of Council, by their act of March the fast, 1788.

SUPREME EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.


A draft of a proclamation was laid before the Board, and the Dame being read, was agreed to in the words following, to wit :


By the President and the Supreme Executive Council of the Com- monwealth of Pennsylvania.


A PROCLAMATION.


WITEREAS, By an inquest held by the Coroner of the city and bounty of Philadelphia, it appears that James Molineaux, labourer, was, while in the prosecution of his lawful business in the night of the seventeenth of this present month, killed and murdered in Cedar street, near Front street, by some unknown person or per- LODS :


And whereas, It is of the utmost importance to the lives of the good people of this State, and a due execution of the laws, that the perpetrators of a crime so horrid should be brought to condign and exemplary punishment : We have, therefore, thought proper to issue this proclamation, hereby engaging that the publick reward of one hundred pounds in specie shall be paid to any person or per- sons who shall apprehend and secure the perpetrator or perpetra- tors of the said murder; to be paid on conviction for the same. And we do hereby charge and require all Judges, Justices, Sheriffs, und Constables. to make diligent search and inquiry after, and to use their utmost endeavours to apprehend and secure the perpetra- tor or perpetrators of the said murder, their alders, abettors, and comforters, and every of them, so that they may be dealt with ao- cording to law.


Diven in Council, under the hand of his Excellency JOHN DICK- INSON, Esquire, President, and the seal of the State, at Phila- delphia, this twenty-fourth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-three.

Several depositions, concerning some late robberies in Baskı county, were handed in to Council by Colonel Joseph Hart, Lice tenant of said county, which being read, the Councthagreed to ism » proclamation in the following words, to wit :


By the President and the Supreme Executive Council of the Com monwealth of Pennsylvania.


A PROCLAMATION.


WHEREAS, By depositions taken according to law, it appears that in the night of the twenty-first instant, present month, the dwelling houses of William Darroch, Collector of Tazos, Robert Darroch, Collector of Militia Fines, John Shaw, Robert Gibes, Joseph Greer, and Robert Robinson, in the county of Bucks, with- in this state, have been broken open, and the said William Darroch, Robert Darroch, John Shaw, Robert Gibson, Joseph Greer god Robert Robinson, robbed of sums of money, and many valsall effects, by Moses Doan, Abraham Doan, Levi Doan, Malin Dom, ' and other persons unknown :


And whereas, It is of the utmost importance to the good people of this State that the perpetrators of such attrocions crimes should be brought to condign punishment, we have thought fit to offer, cad do hereby offer, a publick reward one hundred pounds in specie, for each and every of the perpetrators of the said robberies, or say of them, to be paid, or conviction for the same, to any person or persons who shall apprehend and secure them, or any of them ; and over and above the said reward, we do hereby promise free and fall pardon to any one of the said robbers, their siders, abettors, er comforters, who shall discover, apprehend, and secure, any other, or others, of the said robbers, so that he, or they, shall be convict- ed as aforesaid : And all Judges, Justices, Sheriffs, and Constables, are hereby strictly enjoined and required to make diligent search and inquiry after, and to use their utmost endeavors to apprehend and secure the said robbers, their aiders, abetters, and comforter, and every of them, so that they may be dealt with according to law.
