A letter from Colonel Samuel Hodgdon, Commissary of Military Stores of the United States, was read ; and thereupon,


Ordered, That Captain Joseph Stiles, Commissary of Mility Stores of this State, be directed to deliver the two pieces of art nance, six pounders. which became the property of the State the reduction of York town, in Virginia, to Samuel Hodgdon, quire, upon his receipt and engagement to replace them as soon possible.

A letter from Henry Wynkoop, Esquire, of the county of Best, inclosing sundry depositions relating to the robberies lately com- mitted in the said county, was read ; and on consideration,


Ordered, That a proclamation be issued in the following word, to wit :


By the President and the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:


A PROCLAMATION.


WHEREAS, By depositions taken according to law, it appears. that within the last month several collectors in the county d' Bucks, within this State, have been robbed by Moses Doan, Abn- ham Doan, Amos Dillon, and other persons unknown, of sums df money collected for the publick use :


And whereas, It is of the utmost importance to the good people of this State that the perpetrators of such atrocious crimes should be brought to condign punishment ; We have thought fit to offer, and do hereby offer, a publick reward of one hundred pounds, in specie, for each and every of the perpetrators of the said robberies, or any of them, to be paid on conviction for the same, to any per- son or persons who shall apprehend and secure them, or any df them : And over and beside the said reward, we do hereby promin free and full pardon to any one of the said robbers, their aidera, aber tors, or comforters, who shall discover, apprehend, and secure, any other or others of the said robbers, so that he or they shall be con- victed as afuresaid : And all Judges, Justices, Sheriffs, and Con- stables, are hereby strictly enjoined and required, to make diligent search and inquiry after, and to use their utmost endeavours to ap- prebend and secure the said robbors, their aiders, abettors, or com., and every of them, so that they may be dealt with according to law.

n order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favour of John Nichol- Esquire, Comptroller General, for the sum of one hundred and ity-five pounds specie, being one quarter's salary as Comptrol- General, commencing the thirteenth of April and ending the fth day of July, 1783.
