The Comptroller General's report upon the account of Doctor John Peters, for medicine and attendance upon four wounded sol- diers of Captain Boyd's Ranging company, and for medicine and attendance upon two sick soldiers of Captain Thomas Campbell's Ranging company, were read and approved.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of Captain John Craig, for two hundred and fifty-four pounds two shillings and six pence, for the services of his company of Chester County Militia in 1781, under the command of Colonel John Gardner, to be paid out of the militia fines of the said county.
Ordered, That the city lots marked in the general plan number 1210, 1211, 1212, 1213, 1214, 1215, 1375, 1376, 1595, 1597, 1599, and the residue of the lots remaining yet unsold, late the estate of Joseph Galloway, the same being divided into four parts or lots, lying and being sixty feet in depth on Minor street, and eighty-six feet on Sixth street from Delaware, be exposed to public

The petition of Malcolm McDonald, in behalf of Jeremiah Ta- tem, stating that a few casks of rum, which were part of the said Captain's adventure, have been seized by the Collector, for that the same were not entered according to law ; that he is a stranger in this port, and had no intention to defraud the State of its dues, from the public manner in which he endeavored to make sale thereof, and praying Council to permit the said rum to be entered on pay- ing the legal duty, was read, and an order taken that the forfeiture to the State, incurred by a neglect to enter the aforesaid rum, be remitted.

In favor of Andrew Ellicott, Esquire, for seventy-five pounds, in part of his pay as a Commissioner appointed to run and mark the northern boundary of this Commonwealth, for which sum he is to account.
In favor of Peter Weaver, for four pounds four shillings and ten pence, ballance of his certificate for a black steer furnished by him for public use, to be paid according to resolution of Assembly dated the 8th of April, 1782.
The fine imposed upon Richard Isaac, upon two several convic- tions of larceny in the city and county of Philadelphia, were re- mitted.

In favor of the Honorable John Bayard, Esquire, for one hun- dred and seventy-eight pounds two shillings, in full for his attend- ance in Congress until the thirteenth instant, inclusively, and his mileage to and from New York.
In favor of Captain John Smith, for two hundred pounds seven . shillings and six pence, and in favor of Captain Robert Cochran, for one hundred and eighty-eight pounds seven shillings and six pence, being due to their several companies of Chester county mi- litia for their services in 1781, under the command of Colonel Matthew Boyd, to be paid out of the militia fines of the county of Chester.
A deed was examined and signed by his Excellency the Presi- dent to Nicholas Brosius, for a tract of land situate in Heidle- berg township, in the county of Berks, containing four hundred and seventy-two acres and one hundred and sixty-eight perches of land, sold at Reading the first instant, for two thousand seven hun- dred and ninety pounds five shillings and one penny three farthings, subject to the payment of the yearly rent or quantity of one hun- dred and sixty-three bushels and nineteen one hundred and twen- tieth parts of a bushel of good merchantable wheat, by half yearly payments, to the Trustees of the University of this State, and to the arrears of the same rent from the first day of September, 1781. Deed dated the nineteenth day of June, 1786. Late Andrew Allen's land. :

William Clingan, Esquire, was also appointed a Justice of the Peace for the district of West Caln, Sadsbury, and West Fallow- field townships, in the county of Chester, and Justice of the Court of Common Pleas of the county aforesaid, upon a return made agreeably to law.
Note .- That Mr. Clingan preside in the Court of Common Pleas, the Court of Quarter Sessions of the Peace and Jail Delivery and Orphans' Court, of the said county.

In favor of John Jenkin, for fifty-three pounds sixteen shillings, State money, in full of his certificate for a horse furnished by him for public use, according to the Comptroller General's reports, to be paid out of the funds appropriated by resolution of Assembly of the eighth of April, 1782.
In favor of Doctor Joseph Fenton, for fifteen pounds specie, in full of his account for services as Surgeon to Colonel Andrews' battallion of York county militia, in the fall of 1777, according to the Comptroller General's report, to be paid out of the militia fines of the said county.
Representation being made that the lott of ground within the limits of the tract of land reserved for the use of the Commonwealth, and opposite the town of Pittsburg, granted by act of Assembly to William Butler, Esquire, for the purpose of keeping a ferry, is from its situation liable to be overflowed, and otherwise rendered unfit for the purposes aforesaid,
Ordered, That indulgence be given to the said Butler, to estab- lish a landing place and ferry house upon such other part of the said tract as will best promote the convenience of the public, and the intentions of the Legislature declared in their act aforesaid,
Resolved, That the said Butler be farther permitted to plough, sow, and otherwise cultivate such grounds as have been fenced and hitherto occupied by James Boggs, deceased, and that in return for these advantages, shall come under obligation to prevent the com-

mission of all kinds of waste upon the timber, &ca., of the reserved tract above mentioned.

Ordered, That the Surveyor General be directed to make out duplicate copies of all the general draughts of depreciation lands returned to his office ; and that he cause these copies to be sent to and deposited in some public office in the town of Pittsburg, as a directory for such persons as have become purchasers of lots within the lands aforesaid.
A deed was examined and signed by the President to Hugh Horner, for a tract of land situate in Allen township, in the county of Northampton, containing one hundred and fifty acres of land, late the estate of Andrew Allen, an attainted traitor : Consideration two hundred and forty pounds. To the Secretary of Council.
Please to inform Council I would recommend Major William Alexander to survey in the depreciation lands, or to any other busi- ness that Council have to do to the westward of the Allegheny or Ohio rivers, within this State.
