Stephen Balliet, Esquire, was appointed a Commissioner to view, survey and lay out a State highway, from the Lehigh Water Gap in the county of Northampton, in as direct and straight a manner as the circumstances of the country and the situation of the ground will admit, to Wioming, in the county of Northumberland, which highway, throughout the whole length of the same, is to be of the breadth of sixty feet.
The fine imposed upon Thomas Knight, on conviction of larceny at the City Court held the twenty-fifth day of October, 1784, was remitted.
On application of Jacob Fautz, Collector of public taxes in Stras- burgh township, in the county of Lancaster,
Ordered, That all farther proceedings against the said Jacob Fautz, for the recovery of a sum of money due to the Common- wealth for taxes collected by him, and which he alleges he has been robbed of, be suspended until the end of the next meeting of the General Assembly.
Major William Armstrong was appointed Commissary and Sur- veyor to the Commissioners for running and marking the northern boundary of this Commonwealth, and it was agreed to allow him fifteen shillings per day for every day he shall be employed in the said business.

Ordered, That the city lots No. 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 508, 509, 510, 511, 738, 739, 740, 741, 742, 1229, 1230, 1231, 1232, 1233, 1234, 1235, 1236, 1237, 1238, 1239, 1240, 1241, 1242, 1243, 1244, 1245, 1246, 1248, 1249, 1250, 1592, 1593, 1624, 1625, 1626, 1627, 1628, 1629, 1630, 1631, 1753, 1754, 1766, 1767, 1768, and 1771, which have reverted to the Commonwealth, be sold at the old Coffee House, in this city, on Saturday, the tenth. day of June next, between the hours of ten of the clock in the forenoon, and two of the clock in the afternoon, according to an act of the General Assembly of this Commonwealth, intituled: "An Act for directing the said sale of such of the city lots as re- main the property of the State, and for disposing of the house and lots in High street, in the city of Philadelphia, late the estate of Joseph Galloway, and forfeited to this Commonwealth," and that the conditions of sale be as follows : Gold or silver money, depre- ciation certificates, or other certificates of debts due by this State, on which interest is receivable at the Treasury of this Common- monwealth, and the bills of credit of this State of the last emis- sion, will be received in payment ; one-third part of the considera- tion money to be paid within three days after the sale, another third in one month thereafter, and the remaining third part within two. months of the days of sale.

The Comptroller General's report upon the account of Blath- waite Jones, for his services as an engineer employed at Billings- port and other places on the Delaware, in the years 1777 and 1778, was read and approved, and an order drawn for eighty pounds, in part of the ballance due upon the same, payable out of the money due from Samuel Penrose, Esquire, for arrears of rent for Province Island, a certificate to issue for the remainder.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of the Honora- ble William Brown, Esquire, for twenty-seven pounds, in full for his attendance in Council until the twenty-second day of May, 1786, inclusively.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of the said Mr. Brown, for one pound six shillings and cight pence, in full of his account for four days' service employed in search of Tories in the year 1777., by order of Colonel Rodgers, according to the Comp- troller General's report.

Council took into consideration a petition from divers inhabitants of the district of Frankstown township, in the county of Bedford, complaining of irregular proceedings at the late election for Jus- tices of the Peace in the said district ; and thereupon,
Ordered, That the minute of the . twenty-fourth of December last, appointing John Holliday a Justice of the Peace and of the Common Pleas for the county of Bedford, be rescinded, and the election set aside and made void.

An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of Joseph Walker, for seventeen pounds nine shillings and three pence, to be paid by him to Robert Falls, Samuel Logan, John Robb, James McSparren, Samuel Reagh, William Coulter, John Colvin, and John Mease, for their services in the militia from the twenty-second day of September until the eleventh of October, 1781, to be paid out of the monies arising from militia fines in the county of Lan- caster.
Agreeably to the order of Friday last, Council took into consid- eration the cases of several persons now under sentence of death, vizt :
John Corran, convicted of burglary in the county of Philadel- phia ; John McDonough and Richard Shirtliffe, convicted severally of a rape in the county of Chester ; and Timothy Cockly, convicted of a rape; and Henry Reigart, convicted of a burglary in the county of Lancaster; and thereupon, warrants for the execution of the said John McDonough and Richard Shirtliffe, on Saturday the seventeenth day of this present month, were directed to issue to the Sheriff of the county of Chester.
Agreed, that warrants for the execution of John Corran, Timothy Cockley, and Henry Reigart, be not now issued.
Ordered, That a reprieve be granted to Richard Shirtliffe until the farther order of Council, which the Sheriff is directed not to make known to him until he be taken under the gallows.
Mr. Dean attended the Vice President as a member of the Board of Property.

Ordered, That he be discharged from the payment mentioned in a recognizance entered into by him for the appearance of a certain Hugh Harris at the Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of said county, to answer a charge made against the said Harris by Elizabeth MeGlauchlin, for an assault and battery.
John Wilson, Esquire, was appointed and commissionated a Justice of the Peace for the district of the townships of Buckingham and Warwick, in the county of Bucks, upon a return made according to law. Mr. Wilson was also appointed a Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in and for the said county.
Upon reconsidering the minute of May the nineteenth, Council agreed to allow Major William Armstrong twenty-five shillings per day for every day he shall actually be employed as Commissary and Surveyor to the Commissioners appointed to run and mark the northern boundary of this Commonwealth.
The Comptroller General's report upon the account of Samuel Davidson, for the services of the militia under his command while employed in 1781 in defending the county of Bedford.

Jacob Rosencrange, Esquire, was appointed and commissionated a Justice of the Peace for the district of the townships of Delaware and Upper Smithfield, in the county of Northampton, upon a return made according to law.
The Comptroller General's report upon the account of Captain Robert Elton, for pay of his company of Chester county militia, for their services in the year 1777, under Colonel John Gardner, was read and approved, and an order drawn upon the Treasurer for one hundred and ninety-one pounds, amount of the same.
