Robertt Browne came into Courtt & acknowledged himselfe Gilty of Lying with a yonge woman and haveing ye Carnall knowledge of her Contrary to se Law in that case made and provided, and Cast himselfe upon ye mercy of ye bench to doe what ye pleased with him; And the Courtt Considering the unlawfull act of unelainess seeing the woman is not to be found and ye sª Browne Humbly submiting himselfe & promising for ye future to be carefull & doe soe noe more The Courtt have been pleased to show him mercey and doe fine him forty shill- ings to be paid into The sheriff before ya next Court and to be discharged paying his fees. Henry Hastings for Abusing the Court was Comited into Custidy to Answer the Same But afterwards the sd Henry Hastings Exhibited a petition to the sª Court humbley sub- miting himselfe to their mercey being sory for what he had said and done and desired to be forgiven upon which the Court Considered the same and ordered that upon his now submiting and his promiss of good behaviour for the future he shall be discharged paving his fees
Robert Barber for many Reflecting words and abuses to the sd Court was ordered to be bound to his good behaviour and to appear to answer the same at the next County Court

Whereas the want of a prisson was presented the Last Court by the Grand Inquest and at this time the Court Considering the same have Agreed forthwith to build a prison and doe hereby order John Simcocke and John Bristow to take Care for the Building of the same And that the Sheriff Imediately take care to Levie the fines due to the publick in order to defray the Charge of the prison
Thomas Baldwin made Complaint that the Inhabitants of the Township of Chester being eight of them warned to appear to make a bridge upon the King's Road at Ridley Creek Robert Barber Joseph Richards & George Simcock did not Appeare so that the work Could not be done; whereupon for there default The Court doth fine them five shillings a peece and unders that the Constable of the said Towne of Chester doe forthwith Levie the sd fines for the making of the said Bridge
