which to him he oweth and unjustly Detaineth &c and where- apon the sd plt saith that whereas he haveing formerly Ex- hibeted his complaint & taken oute process ag': the said George Andross thereapon Returnable to the County Court held at Chester In the said County on the ffourteenth Day of the Tenth month 1683 whereapon It was by the Justices of the same Court with Consent of both parties ordered that the matter Contayned In the said Complaint should be referred to the Determination of John Hastings and John Harden the then constituted peace makers for the said County who In pursuance thereunto having seriously Considered the premises Did Judge and award that the said George Andros his heires and Asignes should pay or Cause to be paid unto the sd Richard Crosbve or his Assignes the full sum of Fightern pounds of lawfull money of this province upon the Twentieth Day of that Instant December at the then Dwelling house of James Sanderlines at Chester the one halfe thereof In Redy money as A foresaid and the other halfe In good marchantable wheat or Rve at the common markett prise which s' a ward was on the 17th Day of the sd tenth month Ratified by the sd Justices & Regestred In the same Court according to the 66th Chapter of ye the lawes of this Goverment Excecution Awarded thereapon Directed to Thomas Usher then sheriff of the said County who by virtue of the said Excecution haveing taken or scized the s' George Andross Plantation Att Chi- chester Afforesaid Did Cause the said plantation to be A praized by the County appraisors who one the Eight Day of the fourth month 1686 Did vallue the same Att sixty pounds : And Afterwards to witt Att the first month Court then next ffollowing It was ordered that the said sheriff Thomas Usher and the pl: Richard Crosby should have power To sell and Dispose of the s' plantation Remaining unsold for want of buvers became afterwards Attached as the Estate of George Ardross In the plts hands To Answer the suite of George fforman who by the Judgment of the County Court held Att Chester aforesaid the sist Day of the Eight month 1691 Did

recover Against the said George Andross as well a Cartaine Dept of Eleven pounds Ten shillings as thirty shillings Cost of suite as by the Records & respective proceedings of the said severall Courts may more Att large Appeare And the said Richard Crosby In fact saith that he hath Discharged with his owne money the sª Dept and Costs Recovered by the last recited Judgment being thirteen pounds which with the Eight pounds charges by him Recovered Against the sª .George Andros as a foresaid with the lawfull Interest thereof Amounts in all to the sd sum of ffivety two pounds ffiveteen shillings for which he the sd hath not as yett obtained any Excecution or other remedy in that behalfe whereby action accrued to him the sª Richard Crosby To require and have of the s" Def': the said sum of ffivety Two pounds fiveteen shillings Currant money of pensilvania nevertheless the sd Defendant though often required the Afforesaid flivety Two pounds fivfteen shillings to the plantif hath not Rendered but the same to render hath Denved and still Doth Deny to the plantiffs Damage of Twenty pounds and thereof brings suite &c.
