Mary Moore being Called To Answer the s" Presentment : Appeared and Exhibeted A Peticion to the s' Court which being Red and she being very sorry for the same the Court Considering thereof And shee submitting her selfe to the merey of the bentch: the Court orders that shee shall be omitted Corporal Punishment and that she shall pay forty shillings for A fine and the Charges of the Court and Give security for the bringing up of the Childe : and be Discharged for this time George Stroud became her security for the bring- ing up of the Childe :

John Hendrixson & Johanis ffriend & Henry Coleman & Robert White: were Called To Answer the presentment of the Grand Jury: they pleaded not Guilty: The Court orders that John Hendrixson pay five shillings for being Drunk and Robert White is fined five shillings: Henry Coleman Is Dis- charged : Maudlin Hendrixson was Called To find sureties for her good behaviour It being proved that she beate hur hus- band Charles Whitaker became her security

Robert Woodward being called to Answer to the present- ment of the Grand Jury Aboute the Taken away of James Swafords goods he was Called three times and Appeared not In the Court: James Swafar Evidences were Called and Pat- rick kelly being Called & Attested: Deposeth that he was Att John Simcocks house that Day that James Swaford De- clereth he lost his goods and that aboute four a Clock In the After noone the Deponant Did helpe the s' Robert Woodyard over the Creeke & that the sd Woodyard Tould your De- ponant that James swafar had Given him the sd Woodyard A Dram of Rumm & he sd that he had Rather that he had Given him some small beare & further saith not. James Swaffar being Attested Deposeth that Robert Woodyards two sons was Att plow Att his house & that he the sª Deponant had some busines Att Chester faire & that before they went he & his wife asked the sd Woodyards sons where they lacked any thing before they went & they would helpe them To It before they went & they Gave them a Dram & when they came home Att night It being night: the next morning he looked Att A bottle of Rum & there was A Greate Dele of It gon And they Could not tell what was become of It & then they looked ffurther & his wife missed three yards of holland & four neck char . . . and A silver thimble. And afterward I mett him & he sd he would goe to a wise man a boute them and After some time his son Richard came to me & would have me to meet him Att A wise mans house & there I should here of my goods: and After I Considered of it I answered I would not goe: & Afterwards I had a warrant for him & then he mett me & Asked me what was the Reason I was In such hast & that If I would stay two weeks he would give me A bill that I should have my goods In two weeks time. John Sharply being Attested Deposeth that as he was gocing Two James Swafars mett with Robert Woodyard and he Asked me to goe To James Swafards with him and I Did & I herd Robert Woodyard Promise James Swafard To Pay him forty shillings & on the morrow I writt the bill for forty shillings

& further saith not: Alse Howell being Attested Deposeth that Robert Woodyard went over the Creeke and A boute four A Clock he came back a gaine And Asked for some small beare & said that James swafard had Given him a Dram and he had Rather he had Given him some small beare for he was very dry.


John Cannide being Attested Deposeth that he came to Chester To Thomas Howells & mett with Robert Woodyard there who Asked the Deponant where he worked Att James Swafards & he answered he Did & the sª Woodyard sª that he Did not thinke that James Swafard would have sarved his sons soe as not to leave them any food or Drinke And said that he was In James Swaffards house After that they came A way and further saith not : The said Robert Woodyard being Called Againe three times & not Apper' In Court: The Court Gave Judgment that James Swafard Recover Against the sd Robert Woodyard the sum of six pounds with Cost of suite.


Jonathan Heyes made knowen To this Court how that some of Owen Mackdaniells neighbours Complained to him that the sd owen had Arms which they were Afraid of & that one the severall Complaints he ordered the said Armes to be taken & brought to this Court & the Court ordered that the sª Arms should be committed In to the sherifs Costody And Alsoc that the said Owen shall shall not hence forward Entertaine no straingers In his house To let them Abide there:
