This vessel was constructed in New York, in 1853, by Geo. Collier, and sailed for California as a three-masted schooner. She was fitted np for present trade by Chas. Minturn, and went into possession of present owners March, 1854. Her dimensions are as follows : Length of keel 148 feet, breadth of heam 26 feet, depth of hold 712 feet, measures 218 tuns. She has 27 inch cylinders with five feet stroke. This boat bas been without exception one of the most lucky vessels owned by this large company, never having had an acci- deot occur to her, and favored with a most prosperous business.
