Leonard D. Looy
Services were held on Wednesday, June 18 in the Hughes Funeral Chapel in memory of Leonard D. Looy, 31, who died on June 16. Interment was private.
Looy was a cable splicer for General Telephone and resided in Yucaipa. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Looy of Larry's Plumbing.
He is survived by the widow, Yolanda; parents Larry and Mary Looy of Wofford Heights; one brother, David Looy of Palm Desert; and two sisters, Martha Allington of Bakers- field and Ethelyn Looy of Wofford Heights.
Howard A. Fulton
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Kernville Methodist Church for Howard Allen Fulton, 78, who died June 13. Rev. Robert Sanford officiated and interment followed in Kern Valley District Cemetery.
Mr. Fulton was a native of Wathena, Kansas, and had lived in California for 60 years. He last was employed by the Southern California Edison Co., for which he had worked for 37 years. He had lived at Edison KR1 and KR3 for 20 years where he maintained the hydro-electric power. He was a member of Kernville Methodist Church, Kernville Rebekah Lodge 185, and 'a long-time member of the Oddfellows Lodge.
Survivors include the widow, Kath- erine; two daughters, Roberta Jou- ghin and Josephine Silicz of Lake Isabella; two sons, Robert of Chino and Howard of El Cajon; two brothers, Ralph of Cayucos and Floyd of Long Beach; two sisters, Verna Wibbenhorst of Tidewater, Oregon, and Pearl Paige of San Bernardino; seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

George C. Beutner
Services were held Tuesday, June 17, in San Diego for George C. Beutner, 78, who died in his Kernville home on June 13. The services were performed by the Lemon Grove chapter of the Masonic Lodge.
Beutner was born on October 11. 1896. He was a retired inspector at Convair in San Diego. He was a charter member of the American Legion and served in the Navy in both WWI and WWII. He was also a member of the order of Eastern Star and the Kern Valley Masonic Lodge. He had lived in Kernville for the past ten years.
He is survived by one daughter, Carole Federman of Milwaukee; and one sister, Lydia Hennersdorf of Kernville. Arrangements by Green- lawn Mortuary.
Sid Ricards
Graveside services were held last Tuesday, June 24, in Greenlawn Memorial Park for Sid Ricards, 49, Lake Isabella, who died June 21 in Sacramento. John Burch, Christian Science Reader officiated.
Mr. Ricards, a native of Oklahoma, had been a resident of this community for 45 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sid Ricards Sr. of Lake Isabela; three sons, Steven, Mark, and Scott, all of Lodi; daughter, Sherri of Lodi; brother, Richard of Bakersfield; and sister, Glorla Lan- dor of Bakersfield. Arrangements by Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara.

Wilbur G. Taylor
Services were held Friday, June 27 at Forest Lawn Little Chapel of the Hills in Hollywood Hills for Wilbur G. Taylor, 71, who passed away at the Kern Valley Hospital on June 24. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 29, 1903. He was a retired carpenter and had lived In Kernville for 21/2 years.
He is survived by the widow, Loretta of Kernville. He was the uncle of Dr. and Mrs. Charles August of Kernville.
William B. Rodgers
Private services were held Wednes- day, July 2, for William B. Rodgers, 77, who died on June 30 at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield. Inter- ment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield.
Mr. Rodgers was born on October 1, 1897 in Iowa, and had been a Kernville resident for 11 years. He was a retired assembler for Hughes Aircraft Cor- poration.

Services were held last Thursday, June 24 at 11 a.m., in Eternal Valley Chapel in Newhall, Ca., for William Leonard Atpier, 73, who died on June 21 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
Mr. Atpier was born in Norman, Oklahoma on November 7, 1901. He had been an Onyx resident for the past six years. Atpier was a retired salesman for Mountain Mobile Homes in Ridgecrest.
He is survived by the widow, Effie; two sons, Reford of Santa Rosa and William of Bishop; one brother, Oren Atpier of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister, Vella Banning of West Los Angeles; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

Services were held Tuesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. in Kernville United Methodist Church for Harold Warden, 62, of Wofford Heights, who died July 4. The Rev. Myron B. Goodyear officiated and Interment followed at Kern Valley District Cemetery.
Mr. Warden, a native of Mokane, Missouri, lived in Kern County for seven years. He worked for Edison Co., and with Public Utilities. He is survived by the widow, Evelyn; two sons, LeRoy E. Warden of Escondido, and Charles Robert Warden of Ephrata, Pennsylvanla; a brother, Robert Jr. of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Loretta Short of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and three grand- children.

George Petyak
Services will be held at the Rogers Mortuary in San Diego on July 18 in memory of George Petyak, 75, of Burlando Road in Kernville who died Monday, July 14 at the Colonial Convalescent Hospital in Bakersfield. Kenneth Mckinney, chaplain, and members of the F & AM Lodge No. 400 of La Mesa will conduct the services. Private interment will follow in the Masonic plot at Grer wood Cemetery.
Mr. Petyak was born on March 18, 1900 in Monesson, Pennsylvania and came to California in 1900 He worked for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in the Southern California area until Ins retirement after 4217 years of service. Following lus retirement, George and his wife, Brownie, moved to Kernville to fish and enjoy their beloved Kern River Valley. He became a member of the La Mesa Masonic Lodge No. 400 in 1940.
He is survived by his widow, Brownie; two daughters, Patricia Garcia of Ocean Beach and Coralee Guy of Chula Vista; seven grand- children and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Wofford Heights for Edith Louise Amer, 73, who died July 19 at the Kern Valley Hospital. Father Renner officiated at the church service and interment was in the Green Hills Memorial Park in Santa Paula, In memoriam: The arms that held us, the hands that cared for us are gone forever. We look to God for strength.
Mrs. Amer was born on December 16, 1901 in Grosse Point Farms, Michigan and resided in Lake Isabella at the time of her death.

Services were held Monday, July 28 at 11 a.m. at the Valley Mortuary Chapel in Lake Isabella for Louis P. Greene, 79, of Lake Isabella who died Saturday, July 26 at the Kern Valley Hospital. Rev. H.B. Long conducted the services. Interment was Tuesday, July 29, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Whittier. Mr. Greene was born in Texas on October 10, 1895. He lived in Lake Isabella for seven years. He was a third degree Mason of Lodge No. 457 in Monterey Park and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Lake Isabella.

Interment followed Mrs Newinan was born on September 9. 1899 in Port Scott, Kansas, and had resided in Bodfish for two and a half years.

Kenneth Blomberg
Memorial services were held at the Valley Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, August 26, at 10 a.m. for Kenneth J. Blomberg of Kernville who died August 22. Sid Ricards, Reader at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Wofford Heights officlated at the chapel service, assisted by members of Kernville Oddfellow Lodge No. 251. Graveside services at the Kern River Valley District Cemetery followed with members of the V.F.W. Post No. 7665 officiating.
Mr. Blomberg was born in Lost Springs, Wyoming on November 29, 1910. He came to the Kern River Valley in 1947 and opened a garage, filling station and auto parts house in Old Kernville. He was co-owner of Swedish American Propane Gas Company (now Van Gas). When new Kernville was established, Mr. Blom- berg erected the first business build- ing In the new town, now known as the Sportsmans Inn. He was a retired Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army Engineers and a retired employee of Kern County.
Active in many civic organizations in the valley, Blomberg had served as Commander of the Veterans Club, Commander of the VFW Post No. 7665, Noble Grand of the Kernville Oddfellow Lodge No. 251, District Deputy Grand Master of Oddfellow District No. 73, and was a member of the Kernville Rebekah lodge No. 365.
At the time of his death he held an appointive office in the Grand Lodge of California of Independent Order of Oddfellows, was vice president of the Kern River Valley Retired Officers Club, treasurer of the Havilah Cen- tennial Group and a member of the board of directors of the Kern Valley Golf Course.
He is survived by the widow, Vy of Kernville; four brothers - Clarence of Thermopolis, Wyoming; Lawrence of Deer Park, Washington; Earl of Grass Valley, and Homer of Riverton, Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

Mrs. Cornelison was born in Ohio and had lived in Wofford Heights for the past 10 years. She was a retired restaurant manager. She is survived by her husband Jesse, of Wofford Heights.

Rolland V. Spyker
Services were held Wednesday, September 3 at 1 p.m. at the Valley Mortuary Chapel in Lake Isabella for Rolland Vern Spyker, 73, who died August 30 at Kern Valley Hospital. Interment followed at Kern Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Spyker was born in Ohio January 3, 1902 and had resided in Lake Isabella for the past eight years. He was a member of the 55 Plus Club and the Lake Isabella-Bodfish Pro- perty Owners' Association. He was a retired welder for U.S. Steel.
Mr. Spyker is survived by his wife, Ruby; five sons, Warren Spyker, Baldwin Park; Robert Showalter, Covina; Clarence Showalter, EI Monte; John Burrows, Azusa; and Richard Burrows, Temple City. Betty Irene Wenzel, 73, of Wofford Heights, passed away Saturday, Sep- tember 20, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, while visiting family. Mrs. Wenzel was born in Centerville, Iowa, and lived in Wof. ford Heights with her husband for seven years.

F.B. Page Succumbs
F.B. (Jim) Page, 73, former owner and publisher of the Kern Valley SUN, died September 29, 1975 In Mont- pellier, France. Mr. Page, who was retired, was touring Europe at the time of his death. He lived in Kernville for many years.

Services were held in the Green- lawn Memorial Chapel Saturday, September 27, at 9 a.m. for Don J. Gamby, 82, of Kernville, who died September 24, 1975.
Gamby was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and had resided in Kern County for 53 years. He was retired from the Honolulu Oil Company in Taft and was a member of the Kern River Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7665, the T'aft Ameri- can Legion Post No. 70, and the Taft World War I Veterans Post No. 305.
Don Gamby, with his dog, "Peppy" was a familiar sight fishing the Kern River for many, many years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Laura; his three daughters Blanche Brewster, Cypress; Donnette Dickey, Reno; and Frances Schi- mandle, Pismo Beach; 7 grand- children; four great-grandchildren; and three nieces of Spokane, Washing- ton.
Pallbearers were his grandsons, Mike Brewster; Don Brewster; Bob Dickey; Joe and David Schimandle, his nephew, Dan Dalton.
Lillie Mathews
Lillie Mathews, 75, of Kernville, died Friday, September 26, while visiting family in Oklahoma. She was born in Scotland, April 3, 1900 and had lived in the Sierra Trailer Lodge, Kernville, for 11 years.
Mrs. Mathews is survived by one son, R.E. Mathews, Oklahoma; one daughter, Patti Hinderliter, Oregon; two sisters and 2 brothers.
Arrangements are being handled by the Eisenhower Funeral Home.

Francis Bewley Page died Sep- tember 30 enroute between Narbonne and Montpellier, France. He was born June 13, 1902 in Republic, Washington, and all of his 73 years. he lived and lived and lived.
Ervin Buchheim
Memorial services will be held today, Thursday, October 9, at Eagle Methodist Church, for Ervin Harry Buchheim, 61, who died Sunday, October 5. Rev. Gary Wilson will officiate.
Buchheim was born February 22, 1914, in Minnesota, and had lived in Squirrel Valley one year. Prior to retirement, he was a foreman at Kaiser Steel.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia, three sons, Bruce, North Hollywood; Gordan, Fort Gordon, South Carolina; Douglas, Denver, Colorado; four daughters, Diane Levine, Torrance; Judy Sawyer, Las Vegas, Nevada; Joan Carol, Roland Heights; Roxanne Hyatt, Rancho Mirage; four sisters, Ilene Walter, Mable Melburn, Melva Brown, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Helen Brandt, Clairemont, Iowa.
