David A. Plotkin
A funeral service was conducted Saturday, June 4 at Valley Mortuary Chapel for David A. Plotkin, 21 of Carlsbad, formerly of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Jerry Ruff, Pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church of Wofford lleights.
David Plotkin passed away May 30 at the San Bernardino County Medical Center in San Bemardino from injuries sustained in an automobile accident May 29 in San Bernardino County, near Kramer Junction, (Four Corners.)
He is survived by his father, llarry of Harbor City; mother Diane Zumbrunen of Carisbad; sisters Laura of Hisperia, Jamie of Bakersfield, Robyn of Washington State; brothers Norman of Lake Isabella, Jim Oregon; of grandmother Helen Sultzer of Carlsbad and aunts, nieces and nephews.
David was a student at Palomar Community College. He was a 1984 graduate of Kern Valley High School As a student here in the Kern Valley, David served as the first president of the Junior Rotary, he was president of KRV FFA and Regional Vice President to the California FFA. He was a member of the Kern Valley Broncs football team and contributed to the effort that led to the installation of the emergency call boxes along Highway 178.

CHARLES MCCAULEY
Charles "Chuck" McCauley of Wofford Heights passed away June 7
at Kern Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" McCauley of Wofford Heights; son Donald of Rhode Island, daughter Cathleen McCauley of
Rhode Island and two granchildren, Peter and Karen both of Rhode Island.
Chuch McCauley was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps who
served as an air gunner with the 386th bomb group. Flying from England and Scotland aboard B-26 medium bombers, Chuck recieved an air medal with two silver oak leaves and one battle star after 65 sorties. Chuck was a member of the Elks and the Moose Born Dec. 18, 1921 in San Antonio, Texas, Charles McCauley was 66. At the request of Mr. McCauley, no memorial services will be held. Scattering of cremated remains at the scattering garden of the Kern River Valley cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary. Don Owens was a professional musician and member of Local 47 of Los Angeles and Local 369 of Las Vegas Musicians Union, American Federation of Musicians. He was a member of St. Jude Parish Catholic Church where he frequently served as usher.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Friday June 10 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery for Claire August "Hap" Hartmann of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Joel Astor of the Valley Mortuary staff. Mr. Hartman passed away June 7 at Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Audrey of Lake Isabella; son Claire and daughter in law Callie of Bodfish; son Ross and daughter in law Susan of North Hollywood and five grandchildren. Hap:i's preceded in death by one grandson Timothy Ray Hartmann, deceased March 30, 1988.

Tanya Wilson
A funeral service was conducted Monday, July 18 at Valley Mortuary Chapel for Tanya A. Wilson of Bodfish. Officiating was Rev. Marylou Romagno of the Religious Science Ministry of Bakersfield.
Tanya passed away July 14 in Bakersfield at Kern Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Bodfish Canyon Road in Bodfish.

Lloyd C. Hodge
Lloyd Hodge of Wofford Heights passed away July 8 at the Kem Valley Hospital, Mt. Mesa. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley of Wofford Helghts; son David of Cypress; daughter Cynthia Sosar of El Segundo; brother Raymond of Boston, Mass; sister Irene Simpson of Wofford Heights and three grandchildren.
Lloyd Hodge was a member of the Moose and Mended Hearts.
Born March 9, 1918 in Oklahoma, Lloyd Charles Hodge was 70. Interment of cremated remains at the Kern River Valley cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
William Karl Krueger
William K. Krueger of Weldon passed away June 27 at Mercy Hospital, Bakersfield. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Lucille Krueger of Weldon; sons Al of Weldon and Bill of Santa Paula and grandchildren. Born August 3. 1918 in Pennsylvania, William Karl Krueger was 71.

RICHARD ROBERT "DICK" CLARK
Richard R. Clark of Weldon passed away July 3 at Kern Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife Ruth of Weldon; daughter Linda and son in law Grady Judd of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter Cindy and son in law Mike Johnson of Long Beach; son James Clark of San Diego; daughter Carol Clark of Fullerton; mother Muriel Clark of Oregon; sisters Barbara Reicher of Oregon and Betty Hill of Mountain Ranch; brother William of Oregon; grandchildren Kenneth and Kevin of Ft. Worth; Nicole of Long Beach, Jay of Long Beach and Sarah of Fullerton.
Dick Clark was a retired U.S. Navy veteran with nearly 30 years of service mainly aboard guided missle cruisers. He served throught three wars, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a past president of the KRV Eagles Aerie 3156 and member of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers.
Born Oct. 1, 1924 in Rumsey, New Hampshire, Richard Robert Clark was 63 years. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
INFANT ELIZABETH MAE FRENES
A graveside funeral service was conducted July 5 at Kern River Valley Cemetery for infant Elizabeth Nae Frenes. Officiating was Rev. Joe Collins, Pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church in Kernville. Infant Elizabeth Mae was born and died on June 29 at Ridgecrest Community Hospital. She is survived by parents Lawrence and Virginia Frenes of Weldon; grandparents Ben and Nina Little of Weldon; Tom and Margaret Barber of Canebrake.
