Robert Lee Perry
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. in the Eagle's lodge, Mt. Mesa for Robert lee Perry of Weldon.
Mr. Perry passed away March 8 at Ililltop Convalescent Hospital in Bakersfield.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Dwade and two sons, Robert Jr. and Argus.
He is survived by two daughters, Erma Perry of Weldon and Pat Berry of Bakersfield; 11 grandchildren including Steve Perry of Lake Isabella and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Boyd Perry of Oklahoma and one sister, Efley Couch of Norwalk.
Robert was a resident of Weldon for the past 19 years. He was a member of the Eagle's Lodge and served a brief term in the Army.
Born May 18, 1905 in Antiock, Oklahoma territory, Robert Lee Perry was 81.

Marie L. Austin of Southlake passed away March 3 at Kern Valley Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Francis Austin of Southlake; sons Francis of San Diego, Timothy of Cerritos; daughters Florence Vallejo of Newport Beach, Linda Webber of Bellflower; brothers Joseph Babineau of Wofford Heights, Thomas Babineau of California; sisters Eva Sherrill of Cool, CA, Helena Belanger of Wofford Heights, Lucy Babincau of Wofford Heights, Dornla Gallant of Massachusetts and two grandchildren.
Born June 26, 1918 in New Brunswick, Canada, Marie Lena Austin was 70 years of age. Interment of cremated remains at Kern River Valley Cemetery.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Tuesday, March 10 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery for Ted Dill of Lake Isabella. Officiating was United States Naval Chaplain of U.S. NWC, China Lake. Military honors were rendered by an honor guard of U.S. Navy personnel from China Lake.
Mr. Dill passed away March 5 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 22 yeras, Doris of Lake Isabella; son Roy Mckinney of Lake Isabella; daughter Corky Mann of Wofford Heights; sister Lou Jackson of Indiana; sister Georgia Carter of Indiana, and eight grandchildren. A WWII Navy veteran, Ted Dill was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of Troa, the retired officers association.

Bennett Meador of Lake Isabella passed away March 8 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Daphne Dale Meador of Lake Isabella; son Lee Meador of Washington, D.C .; son Richard Lund of Covina; grandson Jeffrey of Kansas City, Missouri; sister Ethel Ouimette, Tacoma, Washington.
Bennett Meador was a WW I veteran of the U.S. Navy who served aboard the submarine S-36 and the ships U.S.S. Canopus and U.S.S. Capella.
Born Dec. 11, 1897, in Fairhaven, Washington, Bennett William Meador was 89.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at the St. Jude Parish Catholic church, Wofford Heights for Unis Post of Squirrel Valley. Celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Monsignor A.G. Herdegen Pastor of St. Jude Parish. Monsignor Herdegen also recited a rosary before the Mass.
Mrs. Post passed away March 5 at the Kern Valley Hospital Mt. Mesa. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Charles ot Squirrel Valley ; sons Kevin of Manhattan Beach, John of Hermosa Beach, Mark of Culver City; sister Jean Shepperd of Brisbane, Australia and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Post was a member of the Kern Valley Hospital Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Saturday, March 7 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery, Wofford Heights for Leona Mae Kroeger of Kernville. Officiating was the Women's Auxillary of VFW Post 7865. Mrs. Kroger passed away March 4 at the Bakersfield Community Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband John, deceased in 1977 and survived by son Roy Kroger of Norco; brothers Ray Gibson of South Dakota, Loyd Gibson of South Dakota, Lois Gibson also of South Dakota; sister Iva Cummings and two grandchildren.
Mrs. and Mrs. Kroger move to the Kern Valley 22 yeras ago where they opened the Richfield gas station across from the vets hall.
She was a member of VFW Auxilliary.
Born March 8, 1920 in Lincoln County, South Dakota, Leona Mae Kroger was 66.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Monday March 9 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery Wofford lleights for Elmer Lee Douglass of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. James Lee Pastor of the Valley Faith Center, Lake Isabella.
Mr. Douglass passed away March 4 at the San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Juanita of Lake Isabella; son and daughter In law Richard and Kathy Douglass of Callfornla; granddaughter Carrie and one sister Marylou Douglass of Texas.
Mr. Douglass was retired from McDonnel.Douglas Corp. and had been a resident of the Kern Valley for the past 16 years.

LARRY MCGRATH Jr.
Larry McGrath Jr. passed away March 1 In Fairbanks, Alaska.
McGrath, 23, was a victim of cancer. He attended and graduated from Kern Valley High School and served on the Kern County Fire Department, in Lake Isabella. He lived in the Kern Valley for seven years.
He is survived by his wife, Janene and three year old daughter, Michelle and his parents Carlene and Larry McGrath, Sr. all of Alaska. He also leaves three sisters and four brothers.
Cremation arrangements were made in Fairbanks.
MARGARET J. PARKS
A funeral service was conducted Wednesday, March 11 at the Valley Mortuary in Lake Isabella for Margaret Parks of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Paul McWilliams, pastor of the Highland Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Parks passed away March 6 in Livermore.
She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Knoll of Santa Fe Springs, Carol Gatti of Livermore and grandchildren. Mrs. Parks is preceded in death by her husband Joy Irwin Parks, deceased Feb. 15, 1983.
Born April 28, 1912 in Los Angeles, Margaret Julia Parks was 74.

A funeral service was conducted Saturday March 14 at the First Baptist Church, Kernville for Ceciley Diane Jones of Weldon. Officiating was Rev. J.P. "Robbie" Robinson, Pastor of the Weldon Baptist Church (Southern). Ceciley passed away March 8 at the Kern Medical Center, Bakersfield following surgery for a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
She is survived by her parents, Greg and Bonnie Jones of Weldon, brother Gregory Jones, Jr. of Weldon; grandparents Bill and Virginia Jones of Bodfish and Emest Schaffhauser of Tuscon, Arizona.
Ceciley was a student at South Fork School and a member of the Weldon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Watkins passed away March 9 at Kern Valley Hospital, Mt. Mesa. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bertis of Wofford Heights; son Glen L. Watkins of Brea; daughter Norma Myers of Seattle; sisters Ruth Reynolds of Lakewood, Madeline Williams of Cerritos, Gladys Goodwin of Yucaipa; five grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
Pauline was a charter member of the Grandmothers Club No. 99 and member of the Douglas El Segundo Rod & Gun Club. She had resided in the Kern River Valley for the past 14 years.

CLINTON P. FARMER SR.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 14 at llillerest Memorial l'ark in Bakersfield for Clinton Phillip Farmer, Sr. 70, who passed away March 11 in Bakersfield.
Mr. Fanner was born in Woodlawn, Virgima on April 26, 1916 and worked for Rockwell International before his retirement. lle was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Baptist Church in Woodland Hills.
Mr. l'armer enjoyed blue grass fiddling and played at square dances for many years. He also was an avid sports fan who enjoyed baseball. He was a devoted family man to his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by loving wife, Rae of Lake Isabella; sons and daughters- in-laws, Clinton P. Farmer, Jr. and Mary of Yucaipa, Terry Farmer and Karen of Granada Hills; daughter Patsy Rae Farmer Marquez of Saimea, Kauai; four grandchildren also Kevin Stevens, Julie Duran and Tanya Farmer; one brother and four sisters.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Friday, March 13 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery, Wofford Heights for William Murray of Riverkern. Officiating was Rev. David Snow, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lake Isabella.
Mr. Murray passed away in the Susanville Convalescent Hospital in Susanville, last week.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Marie, deceased 1968 and his sister Carolyn Loop deceased 1988.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law Bill and Lynn Murray of Susanville, daughter Irls Mafucci of Tuoiomne; brother George Murray of California and six grandchildren.
Bill Mrray, Sr. had lived In Alhambra from 1946 to 1966. In 1988 he moved to the Kernville area where he served as a foreman for the Southern California Edison Co, retiring after 38 years of service.
During WW II he served with the U.S. Navy retiring as a commander from the U.S. Naval Reserve. Bill was a member of the Retired Officers Association, a member of the Diamond Club of the So. California Edison Co and of Post 431 of the
American Legion. Bill was the grandson of Col. William Mathewson, the Original Buffalo Bill.
Born Feb. 2, 1903 In Wichita, Kansas, William Mathewson Murray, Sr. was 84.

THOMAS J. RICARDO
Thomas Ricardo of Lake Isabella passed away March 22 at the Ker Valley Hospital In Mt. Mesa.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dolores of Lake Isabella; sisters Agnes Rocchio of Ohio; father Charles Ricardo of Ohio.
During WW II, Thomas Ricardo served as a truck driver and rifleman with the U.S. Army's 178th Ordinance Company of the 310th battalion in Normandy, Northem France, the Ardennes Forest and in the Rhineland of Germany. Ile was awarded the European Theater Service Medal with five bronze stars.
Born July 22, 1923 In Steubenville, Ohio, Thomas Justin Ricardo was 63.

Harry was born Oct. 23, 1910 in Oglesby, Illinois. He moved to Johannesburg from Indiana in 1944. He had been a resident of Bakersvield and was owner of Kelly Hardware in Lake Isabella, retiring in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Linda J. Kelly of Bakersfield; son Michael Long of Bakersfield; daughters Lousie Cambell of Ridgecrest, Laura Shatswell of Hendersonville, Tenn. During the Korean War, Jim served with the U.S. Army and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars: The United Nations Service medal and the Merit Unit Commendation. lle was a member of Post 711 of the American Legion, the Kern River Valley Exchange Club and the Elks.

MACK HARVILLE
A graveside funeral service was conducted Tuesday, April 28 at the Kern River Valley Cemetery, for Mack Harville of Weldon. Officiating was Pastor Robbie Robinson of the Weldon Baptist Church. Mr.Harville passed away April 24 in Modesto.
He Is survived by his daughters Maryetta of Tennessee, Brenda Brown of Tennessee, Darlene Flanders also of Tennessee; son Larry Harville, Tennessee, Dale Harville of Georgia; sister Ethel Hudnell of Weldon; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Born June 19, 1922 in Crossville, Tennessee, Mack Henry Harville was 64.

DOLORES L. PARKER
A funeral service was conducted at the Valley Mortuary Chapel in Lake Isabella on Thursday April 23 for Dolores L. Parker of Weldon. Officiating was Dr. James Patterson, Associate Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakersfield. Mrs. Parker passed away at home on April 20 after illness.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas N. Parker, Sr. deceased November of 1988 and survived by her sons Tom, Jerry and Ed; and daughter Kay Donaldson and nine grandchildren.
Born March 24, 1922 In Johnson City, Illinois, Dolores Loretta Parker was 65.
Cremated remains at the City Cemetery of Johnson City, Illinois.
EARL E. LAMBERT
A funeral service was conducted Saturday, April 25 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel for Earl E. Lambert of Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Wayne Beebe, Pastor of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Mr. Lambert passed away April 22 in Ridgecrest.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Gertrude "Trudy" Lambert of Lake Isabella; son Morgan Lambert of Lake Isabella; daughter Grace Shanks of Escondido; sisters Elizabeth Cooper of California, Christine Nelley of El Sobrante; brother James Elmo Lambert of Santa Rosa; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.
Earl Lambert had been a resident of the Kern Valley since 1928. He was a realtor and a real estate developer and was responsible for much of the growth and development in the Lake Isabella community.
Born June 27, 1890 in Ripon, Michigan, Earl Elino Lambert was 96.

Al Wyatt of Wofford Heights passed away April 23 in Bakersfield. He Is survived by his wife, Tillie of Wofford Heights,
Al ws a WW II veteran of the U.S. Navy. Born Sept. 13, 1910 in Kentucky, Elmo Taft "Al" Wyatt was 77.
