A funeral service was conducted Wednesday, June 24 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel for Doris Walls of Weldon. Officiating was Rev. David Snow, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella.
Mrs. Walls passed away June 22 at Kern Valley Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Benny of Weldon; daughters Karen Stolk of Lakewood, Kippi Winters of Palmdale, Cheryl Rosenquist of Corona; brother Francis Schlick of Long Beach and ten grandchildren.
Mrs. Walls has been a resident of the Kern Valley for one year.

J.M. SACKERSON
J. M. "Mickey" Sackerson, 82 of Mt. Mesa formerly of Wakefield,
Nebraska, died May 22 at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield. Serviecs were held in Wakefield. The Rev. Joe Marek officiated. Burial was in the Wakefield cemetery. Mr. Sackerson was born May 31, 1904 in Wakefield where he recieved his education. He owned and operated the Sackerson John Deere Implement Dealership from 1930 to 1950 in Wakefield. He married Frieda
Bottger Aug. 20, 1940 in Wayne. He retired in 1951 and the couple moved to Hemet. They lived there for 27 years, lived in Florida for seven years and returned to California four years ago.
Survivors include his wife of Mt. Mesa; two brothers, Lloyd of Redlands and Clifford of Moab, Utah, and a sister, Ruth Crellin of San Fernando Valley.

JOHN NEWELL ROBINSON
Services were held Wednesday at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Mortuary for John Newell Robinson, 8G, who passed away June 28 in Bakersfield. Rev. Don Shelton of The First Christian Church officiated. Interment followed at the Kernville Cemetery with officers of Kernville Lodge I' & AM officiating.
Mr. Itobinson was born in Havitah, and a member of the pioneer Itobinson family who seltled in the Kernville area around 1859. He was a retired counselor at Camp Owen and had worked on various ranches in the valley during his life.
He was a charter member of the Indian Wells Lodge No. 691 F & AM. Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Bakersfield; daughters Donna Scobie of Cholame, Beverly Hanning of Weldon; sons, Jolin Robinson of Mojave, Bill Robinson of Bakersfield. Torn Robinson of Caliente, Jerry Blaney of Oklahoma City; sister, Lizzie Short of Kettleman City; brother James Robinson of Santa Rosa; len grandchildren and Ien great grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted Tuesday, July 7 at Kern River Valley Cemetery for Ilelen M. Carpenter of Wofford Heights. Mrs. Carpenter passed away July 2 al home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Chet" Carpenter deceased March, 1983 and survived by hier cousins William and Kathryn Eilders of Riverside. Helen had been a real estate broker most of her adult life.

Paul L. Fears of Wofford Heights passed away July 3 at Kern Valley Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen of Wofford Heights; stepson Robert Lintz and daughter in law Terry Lintz; sisters Helen McCracken of Salem, Indiana, Elelyn Fultz of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Mary Hickman of Weatherfor, Texas, Janie Williams of Florida and three grandchildren.
Paul Fears is also survived by his father Charles Fears of
Poughkeepsie, New York. During WWII Paul served with the U.S. Navy and was retired from North American Aircraft. Mr. Fears has been a resident of the Kern Valley since 1968. Born March 13, 1913 in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana, Paul Lewis Fears was 74.

Mr. Eynon passed away July 4 in Bakersfield.

William Rynon was a resident of the Kern Valley for the past 17 years. lle was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. A charter member of the KRV Moose Lodge, Mr. Reynon served as past District President of the Moose.

Mrs. Payne passed away July 2 at Kern Valley Hospital, Mt. Mesa. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Fran and Robert Easton of Mt. Mesa; grandchildren Dale, Gene and Janet and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Payne came to California from Illinois in 1921 and retired from Civil Service where she served as a deputy license collector for the city of Huntington Park.

Vernon Brubaker was a master machinist and had taught machine operation at U.C. Irvine. During his career as a machinist he was involved with the designs of such diverse products as the first smoke alarm and the landing gear on the highly successful Space Shuttle Columbia.

Mrs. Johnson passed away July 27 at Kern Valley Hospital.

Mrs. Ridenour passed away July 27 in Saugus. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle in 1979. She is survived by her daughter Lylene L. Sheets of Aguora; son Kenneth L. Ridenour of Saugus; mother Althea "Kitty" Robinson of San Marcos; sister Emlly Tatich of San Marcos; brothers Robert Pfaender of Utah and Max Pfaender of Georgia. Eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Betty Ridenour was a retired R.N., volunteer member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kern Valley Hospital and member of the Grandmother's Club 99 of Lake Isabella.

Dorothea is survived by her sons Clifford of Puerto Rico and Bunford of Los Angeles and four grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Gusty, deceased Nov. 4, 1983.
Dorothea will be remembered by area residents as the lady who walked along Erskine Creek Road and Lake Isabella Blvd. for many years.

NEAL 'Bo' REEDER
Services were held July 14 at the Williamson Funeral Home in Missouri for Neal 'Bo' Reeder, who died July 9 at St. Mary's Memorial Hospital, Roger's Arkansas, after a long illness.
Mr. Reeder was former mill supervisor at Johnsondale in 1970.
He was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Nowata, Oklahoma and was 52 at the time of his death.
After Johnsondale, Mr. Reeder lived in Lousianna before moving to Selignman, MO. Hle was a self- employed concrete pump contractor.
He is survived by two sons, Wade Reeder of Lompoc, CA; Marvin Reeder of Seligman, MO and one daughter Stephanie McPartlin of Lompoc; one grand daughter, Randi, 21/2.

A memorial service was conducted Wednesday, Aug. 5 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel, Lake Isabella for Samuel Sam Shelton of Lake Isabella. Officiating were officers of the KRV Veterans Council Group. Mr. Shelton passed away at home July 31.

Sam Shelton was a member of the American Legion KRV Post 711, DAV Chapter 54 and the KRV Veterans Council. He had served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was also a member of the Eagles and Moose.

Onni Wiljamaa of Bodfish passed away Aug. 8 at the U.S. V.A. Hospital, in Fresno after illness.
He is survived by his friend Bud Malling of Bodfish; step brothers Leonard Erkkila of El Cerrito and Moritz Erkkila of Fairfax, Virginia; cousin Martha Travis of Minot, So. Dakota.
Onni served with the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII in Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes and Rhineland.
After WWII, Onni worked as a casket maker for the San Fernando Casket Co. and several other casket makers in Southern California.
Born July 15, 1913 in Cayuna, Minnesota, Onni Edward Wiljamaa was 74.

Eugene Cole of Wofford Heights passed away Aug. 9 at Kern Valley Hospital in Mt. Mesa.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Cole of Wofford Heights; sons Glen Cole of Wofford Heights, Bill Cole of Phoenix, Arizona, Jack Cole of Washington, Pat Cole of Bodfish, Don Cole of Santa Cruz, Mike Cole of Wofford Heights; daughters Melissa of Wyoming, Shirley also of Wyoming, 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchilden.
Born Jan. 12, 1913 in Neptune, Ohio, Eugene Cole was 74 years. Interment of cremated remains at the Kern Valley Cemetery, Wofford Heights. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

WILLIAM A. BAUR
A memorial service will be
conducted Saturaday Aug. 22 at 11 a.m.
graveside at the Kern River Valley Cemetery for William August Baur of Bodfish. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Beebe, Pastor of the Sheperd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
Mr. Baur passed away Aug. 13 at the Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Bakersfield.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Frieda of Bodfish; son Buzy of
Illinois; daughter Geraldine of
Illinois; daughter Jeanette Fisher of Torrance; daughter Beverly Colson also of Torrance; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
William Baur was a charter member of the Moose Lodge No.498 of Lake Isabella. Born July 1, 1903 in Chicago, Cook
County, Illinois, William A. Baur was 84 years of age. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

MARION L. THOMAS
Marion L. Thomas of Lake Isabella passed away August 8 at home. Mr. Thomas was a retired railroad worker.
A memorial service was conducted for Marion Thomas graveside at the Kern River Valley Cemetery in Wofford Heights on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Officiating was Joel Astor, of Valley Mortuary.
Born March 26, 1911 in Sawyer, Kansas Marion L. Thomas was 76. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
DANNY E. COPE
Danny Edward Cope of Kernville passed away August 14 in Bakersfield.
He is survived by his parents Otto and Dorothy Cope of Lake Isabella; son James of Arizona; son Robert of Arizona; son Delton of Washington and daughter Jadyra of Washington.
Danny Edward Cope had been a resident of the Kern Valley for the past six years.
Born Oct. 24, 1946, in Douglas, Arizona, Danny Cope was 40 years. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

OBITUARY
Renfro "Johnny" P. Stine
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27 at 11 a.m. at llillerest Mortuary Chapel, Bakersfield for Renfro P. "Johnny" Stine, 88, who passed away August 23 in Bakersfield.
Reverend Ron Cunningham will officlate. Internment will be private. Johnny was born November 11, 1898 in Oklahoma and came to Coalinga at the age of seven, where he was raised. He worked in ou fields of California, Texas, Oklahoma, Nevada and Wyoming.
In 1921, he married Alice E. Garwood (who preceded him in death in 1969). He moved to Havilah in 1929 when he purchased the old Charlie Brown place and bought the Fugitt Ranch in Lake Isabella in 1941. He moved to Kernville and remained there until three years ago, when he moved to Bakersfield.
