By this marriage, David Hubbard, Esq., had a number of children, among them, Elizur Hubbard, born in 1736, mar- ried Lois Wright, daughter of James Wright, of Wethersfield. She died September 15, 1794, aged 49. After her death he was married to Huldah She died April 26, 1807, aged 55. Capt. Elizur Hubbard died September 14, 1818, aged 82. By his first wife, Capt. Hubbard had several children, among them, Da- vid E. Hubbard, bap. March 15; 1778, and married to Pamelia Hollis- ter, daughter of Elisha and Penelope Hollister, of Glastenbury, October 6, 1799. She was baptized April 26, 1781.

Thomas Fitch was born in 1652, and was son of Mr. Samuel Fitch, of Hartford, Conn., many years an instructor of youth in that town, and of Susannah his wife, widow of the Worshipful William Whiting, one of the first settlers of Hartford. Mr. Samuel Fitch died in 1659, and she was again married in 1663, to Hon. Alexander Bryan, of Milford, Conn., being his second wife. She died at Middletown, Com .. July 8, 1673, at the house of her son-in-law, Rev. Nathaniel Collins, minister of that town.]

To Mary Stoddard, widow of John Stoddard, late of Wethersfield, de- ceased, and daughter of Nathaniel Foote, one of the first settlers of that town, 1674. [After his death, she was married to Lieut. WILLIAM GURLEY,* of Northampton, Mass, was married to Hester Ingersoll, daughter of Jolm Ingersoll, of Westfield, Mass., formerly of Hartford, Conn., and Northampton, Mass., 1684. [After his death, she was married to Benoni Jones, of Northampton, January 23, 1689, by whom she had four children, viz : Jonathan, born January 4, 1695, and died young. Benjamin, born 1696, v settled in Coventry, Conn. Ebenezer, born November 12, 1698. Jonathan, born March 3, 1703; the two last, together with their father, were slain by the enemy, at Poseummuck, north end of Mount Tom, Northampton, May 13, 1704.]
Mr. William Gurley died by drowning, May 1, 1687.
Mrs. Hester Gurley, alias Jones, was captured by the enemy, at the time her Jones husband and children were slain, and carried to Canada, and there died, after being tormented by the Catholic priests who were trying to convert her.

SAMUEL GURLEY, of North-Coventry, Conn., afterwards of Mansfield, in the same State, was married to Experience Rust,
* William Gurley, the first of the name, was brought into New England from Scotland ; as he said,-probably from Edinburgh. He was born in the year 1665, but left no record by which we are able to satisfy ourselves concerning his parents or relations. He was brought up in the family of the Rev. Mr. Solomon Stoddard, of Northampton. Ile dicd at the age of 22 years, having been accidentally drowned in Connecticut river, leaving an only child, a son, about one week old. He is reputed to have been truly pious, and a sincere follower of Jesus Christ. Manuscript relating to the Gurley Family.

Nathaniel Rust was son of Israel Rust, of Northampton, and Re- becea, his wife, daughter of William Clark, of the same town.
Mr. Samnel Gurley died February 23, 1760, in the 74th year of his age. [Gravestone, Gurley burying-ground, North Mansfield. ] " He was distinguished for piety, and was eminently useful in the cause of religion and humanity."

ESTHER GURLEY was married to John Storrs, of Mansfield, Conn, January 2, 1735. [After her death, he was married to Mary Chaplin, of Pomfret, Com., who, after his death, was married to Joseph Denny, of Mansfield, March 14, 1750, by whom he had one child, only, a son, Nathaniel, born in 1751.]
Mrs. Esther Storrs died March 15, 1746, in her 33d year. [Gravestone, South Mansfield burying-ground.]
John Storrs, Esq., died October 6, 1753, aged 51. [Grave- stone, North Mansfield burying-ground.]

JONATHAN GURLEY, of Mansfield, Conn., was married to Han- nah Baker, daughter of Joseph Baker, of Tolland, in the same State, August 4, 1737. She was born April 9, 1709.
Deacon Jonathan Gurley, died November 12, 1778, in the 64th year of his age. [Gravestone, Gurley burying-ground, Mansfield.]
His widow, Mrs. Hannah Gurley, died May 16, 1796, in the 88tl year of her age. [Gravestone, Gurley burying-ground. ]

SAMUEL GURLEY, of Mansfield, Conn., was thrice married. 1. To Hannah Baker, daughter of Daniel Baker, of Tolland, Conn., June 16, 1742. She died April 19, 1756, in her 39th year. 2. To Hannah Walker, of Union, in the same State, August 31, 1757. She died May 9, 1782, in her 54th year. 3. To Susan- nah Curtis, widow of Samuel Curtis, deceased, of Mansfield, and daughter of - - Bosworth, of the same town.
Capt. Samuel Gurley died November 14, 1796, in his 80th year- Mrs. Susannah Gurley, alias Curtis, died February 15, 1810, aged 87.
