LAGRANGE. The seat of justice for county of same name, is located on the G. R. & I. R. R., 46 miles northwest of Fort Wayne, 43 cast of South Bend, and 10 south of the Michigan state line. The vil- lage is pleasantly located in an average agli- cultural district, contains 2000 inhabitants, good county buildings, several churches, and good graded schools. It has one hotel, two weekly newspapers-The Register and Standard-one private and one national bank. The manufacturing interests of La- grange are as yet not very great, and con- sist of two saw mills, a foundry, pump fac- tory and one flour mill. Telegraph, West- ern Union and Atlantic and Pacific.
