They spent much of their lives at West Hawley, where Mrs. Maynard now resides. Mr. Maynard d. Nov. 22, 1932. They came to Haw- ley from Savoy in April, 1893, settling on the Manley Stetson place until June, 1894, when they removed to the former Joshua King place, where they ran a store and kept the Post Office until April, 1897. They returned to Hawley, Nov. 22, 1916 and settled on the Albert Milo Maynard place. Issue:


i. Arthur Herbert (3), m. Iva L. Tilton, dau. of Everett and Sarah (Moulton) Tilton, came from Savoy, Oct. 12, 1916, settled on the William Hawkes place. They now reside in the house where the West Hawley Post Office is located. Children: 1. Lida Janette (4), b. Aug. 19, 1918 at West Haw- ley, m. MAYNARD, ALBERT MILO, m. MarittaC. Sherman, came from Savoy to Hawley in 1887, settled on the Clark Fuller place. He was a blacksmith by trade. He d. Mar. 7,1916, she d. Apr. 6,1911.


MCINTYRE, WILLIAM (1), is believed to have settled in the south part of the town in the tract afterward set off to Plainfield, as he ap- pears to have been one of the early residents of that town.
