On a warrant duly issued by the Selectmen under the date of June 2, 1959, and signed by Harry B. Butters, James J. Drummey, John A. Abdallah, Charles L. Rich and Walter J. Dempsey, Selectmen of Norwood, the meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Walter J. Gotovich. The proper service of this warrant was duly attested by James E. Quinn, Constable of Norwood. the meeting was opened with a prayer by Rev. Paul Barry, S. J.
All the requirements of the statutes and by-laws relating to elections and town meetings were complied with. The warrant calling the meeting was read by Town Clerk and Accountant Bartley W. Connolly, the articles in the warrant and the action thercunder being as follows:
ARTICLE 1. To hear and act upon the report of the Senior High School Addition Committee. (On petition of the Senior High Addition Com- mittee.
VOTED: That the report of the Senior High School Addition Committee be accepted.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Moderator to appoint a committee of seven to obtain final plans and costs of a suitable addition to the Norwood Senior High School; to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the use of the committee; and to determine whether the money shall be raised by borrowing. by transfer from available funds or otherwise ; or take any other action in the matter.
