* In the division of the estate of John1 Page in 1723, this name appears at Salem on the probate records as "Savernes," "Saverance," or "Severance." This is evidently an attempt to represent " Siphorus," by those who knew the name only by sound. John' had been dead 30 years, and his son Onesiphorus, who had resided in a different town from the other members of the family, had been dead 17 years. Most, if not all, the children of John1 were dead in 1723. (64) JOSEPH3 Dow, called Onesiphorus Page, his "uncle" when he chose him as guardian in 1636. The name Severance Pago is found only on the probate records of 1723. [See "Sefrus," p. 26.]

* Judith Page is the one first named among the heirs of Joseph Sen. in 1707, and of Ebenezer in 1703. She is also among the heirs of Joseph Jr. in 1706-7. She is ment. in will of (1) SAMUEL1 GUILE in 1683-4. She could not have been born after Ebenezer, as he was born after the death of his father. The entry against her name on the Hv. rec., "d. April 28, 1672[Hv]," is un- doubtedly an error. It is also given as the date of her mother's death.
