Report of the Committee on Play-ground. Ur. Moderator:


Under the vote;"That a committee of seven members be appointed by the Moderator to take under consideration and report at a future meeting the subject of the establishment of a play ground and athletic field" your committee emanimous ly reports as follows;


That a public play-ground and athletic field is needed;


2nd. That such play-ground should be under the supervision of @ playground Commission of three (3) appointed by the Selectier:


3 rd. That it should be large enough for a base-ball and football field have exacte for croquet, tennis, sand boxes swings running track, testers, and basket ball .! In addition to the above report we have the pleasure to recommend for your careful consideration the following;


a piece of property consisting of guple space to incorporate the subject matterfre- ferred to in the third portion of your com- bittees report and in addition, to the allowing of a straight-a- way quarter mile running track already extremely well

To this one portion of our recommendation we beg your particular attention. at the present time no municipality to our know- Hedge has such a trade and the fact that Westboro has sufficient interest in her younger element will be an asset that her sister towns will envy


The expense incident to the securing of property for such purposes as we have outlined have been studied carefully by your committee and by your accepting our report and adopting Your recommend- ations you will find that the town has been saved approximately 65 % of the initial cost of the establishment of such a play-ground


The property sufficiently large to accommodate the deadlines of the town people is as follows;


The old road ted, formerly used by the rail road, running from the Will It. bridge to the rear of the Westboro Weaving Co. I become the running track; The property nou owned by Mr. William Leary, lying adjacent to the rail road, bed and of feet of the property connecting with the foregoing to constitute the band ball and foot ball fields.


The property between Milk It and the rail road ted, how a banking and running from the Westboro Weaving Co. and include ring the old town sound to consist of spaces for the children are spoken of in the Allind Portion of our report.


The matter of expense is confined to the purchase of the land of wh. Leary and also the land from the heirs and there of
