By-Laws of the Town of Westborough. Relative to Junk Dealers and Junk Collectors. Section 1. That the Selectmen may license suitable persons to the dealers in, collectors of, and beefers of shops for the purchase, sale or harter of junk, old metal or second hand articles subject to the provisions of Sections 29 to 32 inclusive of chapter 1020 of the Revised Laws and acts supplementary and amandatory therof; and may revoke such license at pleasure.
Section 2. That every shop keeper shall beef a book in which shall be written, at the time of every purchase of any such article, a description thereof, the name, age and residence of the person from wiony, and the day and how when sauce purchase is made; that such book shall, at all times be when to the inspection of the deleatmen; that every keeper of such shop shall frust, in some suitable and conspicuous place in his shop, a sign having his name and occupation legibly inscribed therem in large letters; that such shop and all articles of merchandise therein and any place, vehicle or receptacle for the collection or keeping of the articles aforesaid, may be at all times examined by the Selective, and no keeper of such shop now any dealer or Junk collector shall directly or indirectly, inthe purchase or receive by way of banter or exchange any of the articles aforcesaid of a minor or apprentice, knowing or having reason to believe him to be such; and wo article purchased or received by such shop keeper shall be sold until a period of at least me week, from the date of its purchase hav elapsed. Section 3. That every vehicle which shall be used in town for or in the collection of junk, old metals or second hand articles, shall have placed whow the outside and whow each side of the same the name of the licensee, the number of the license in plain, legible letters and figures of not for
