Agreeably to a Warrant signed by the Selectmen, February 3, 1969, the Inhabitants of the Town of Andover, qualified to vote in Elections and Town Affairs, met and assembled at the designated polling places in Precincts One, Two, Three, Four, Five and Six, viz: The Central Fire Station in Precinct One; the Lower Hall of the Ando- ver Baptist Church, Central Street, in Precinct Two; the Sacred Heart School, Bal- moral Street, Shawsheen Village, in Precinct Three; the Andover Grange Hall in Precinct Four; the Community Building, Center Street, Ballardvale, in Precinct Five; and the Peabody House, Phillips Street, in Precinct Six, in said Andover, on

ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING
MARCH 8, 1969
The check lists were used at entrance and showed 997 voters admitted to the meet- ing.
The meeting was called to order by Arthur Williams, Moderator, at 9:50 A. M.
The opening prayer was offered by the Reverend J. Everett Bodge, Minister of the South Church.
Salute to the flag was led by Selectman William Stewart.
Unanimous consent was voted to admit twenty-one non-voters to the meeting.
The Moderator announced that there would be no smoking in the Gymnasium.
Upon motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to dispense with the reading of the Warrant and the return of service of the constable.
Upon motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED that the Moderator refer to the articles by number and by subject matter.

ARTICLE 1. To elect a Moderator for one year, one Selectman for three years, one member of the School Committee for three years, one member of the Andover Housing Authority for five years and any other town officers required by law to be elected by ballot, also to vote on the following questions:
QUESTION NO. 1 -- "Shall the town, in addition to the payment of fifty percent of a premium for contributory group life and health insurance for employees in the ser- vice of the town and their dependents, pay a subsidiary or additional rate?"
QUESTION NO. 2 -- "Shall the town, in addition to the payment of fifty percent of a premium for contributory group life and health insurance for employees retired from the service of the town and their dependents pay a subsidiary or additional rate?"
All the above candidates and questions to be voted for on one ballot. The polls will be open from 8:00 o'clock A. M. to 8:00 o'clock P. M.
The Town Clerk announced the results of the election and questions on March 3, 1969 and declared Arthur Williams elected as Moderator and that he had previously been sworn to the faithful performance of the duties of that office.
The Town Clerk also declared the other successful candidates elected to their respective offices and that they had been sworn to the faithful performance of the duties of their offices.

Upon motion duly seconded, it was VOTED that the salaries of the elected TOWN OFFICERS be established as follows for the ensuing year: (each item being voted on separately) :
