Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1958, and to issue note, or notes therefor payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less. than one year, in accordance with Chapter 44, Section 17, General Laws.
Article 5. To see if the Town will authorize the Collector to use all means in the collection of taxes as the Treasurer might if elected to that office.
Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to accept as a public way that part of Grove Street which commences on the easterly side of West Street, a public way, and extends in a southerly and easterly direction for a distance of approximately 1063.34 feet to that section of Grove Street accepted by Article 20 of the Adjourned Annual Town Meeting of March 14, 1955, as laid out by the Selectmen and as shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Relocation and Widening of Grove Street, Medfield, Mass." dated January 15, 1958, and on file in the Town Clerk's Office and to authorize the Selectmen to acquire by eminent domain or otherwise such rights, titles, and easements as may be necessary to accomplish said purpose.
Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of $899.93 from the unexpended balance of an amount appropriated under Article 12 of the Annual Town Meeting of 1955 and amounts borrowed in connection therewith and/or raise and appropriate and/or borrow a

sum of money for the construction of High Street; said money to be used in conjunction with money allotted by the State, and County, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of replacing the surface flooring of the overhead bridge on Curve Street, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of purchasing a pick-up truck for the Street Department, and authorize the Selectmen to trade the present pick-up truck as part of the purchase price, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, and/or borrow a sum of money for the purpose of purchasing a side- walk tractor and plow, and bulldozer conversion and blade, and authorize the Selectmen to trade the present sidewalk tractor as part of the purchase price, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate and/or borrow in accordance with Chapter 44, of the General Laws, and/or transfer from the Stabilization Fund established under Article 30 of the Annual Town Meeting of 1956, a sum of money for the pur- chase of an ambulance and accessories, and authorize the Selectmen to trade the present ambulance as part of the purchase price, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to accept as a gift an easement in lands of John D. Williams and Beatrice B. Williams as heretofore granted to the Town of Medfield by instrument recorded with Norfolk Deeds at Book 3610, Page 556.
Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to accept as a gift an easement in lands of Harrison K. and Jacqueline M. Dutton and Burton S. Hooker, as heretofore granted to the Town of Medfield.
Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to adopt the following Town By-Law, or do or act anything in relation thereto:
By-Law. The Park and Planning Board of the Town of Med- field, shall in behalf of the Town of Medfield, determine and designate the street number for all buildings built or to be built upon all lots shown on any sub-division plan hereafter submitted to it for formal approval by it under the provisions of the Sub- division Control Law, so-called.
Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Water and Sewerage Board to appoint one of its members as Water Superin-

To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow, and/or transfer for the purpose of purchasing for water standpipe purposes of 40,000 square feet of land on Mt. Nebo, so-called said premises being shown on a certain "Plan of Proposed Standpipe Lot and Right of Way to be acquired by the Town of Med- field, Mass., Cheney Engineering Co., Needham, Mass., February 15, 1957" which said plan is on file in the Office of the Water and Sewerage Board, or do or act anything in relation thereto. Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to purchase, take by emi- nent domain or accept as a gift from sundry owners an easement in, on, over and under several parcels of land all being shown as "Right of Way" on a certain "Plan of Proposed Standpipe Lot and Right of Way to be acquired by the Town of Medfield, Mass., Cheney Engineering Co., Needham, Mass., February 15, 1957" which plan is on file in the Office of the Water and Sewerage Board, and to see what sums of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for any of the foregoing purposes, or do or act anything in relation thereto. Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate and/or borrow a sum of money for the purpose of a truck and winch for the use of the Tree and Moth Departments, and authorize the trade of the present truck, or do or act anything in relation thereto. (Tree Department)
Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee and authorize said committee to prepare and/or secure plans, speci- fications, and estimate costs for a fire and police station, to report at a future Town Meeting, and to raise and appropriate a sum of money to defray any costs of said committee, or do or act anything in relation thereto. Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law of the Town of Medfield as amended March 1957, by adding to Section II, "AA", "A", "C", Residence District Uses, Paragraphs 8, the following, or do or act anything in relation thereto.
(i) Alteration to single or multi-family residences so as to adapt them to additional limited multiple family use upon the following conditions:
(1) That there will be no change in the existing district use and the approval shall automatically cease when the structure is removed.

(2) That a minimum floor space of five hundred (500) square feet per family unit be provided.
(3) That satisfactory off street parking must be provided.
(4) That each family unit must be a complete housekeeping. unit.
(5) That additions or appurtenances may not be added with- out the prior approval of the Board of Appeals, except for openings for ingress and egress, for necessary stairs and steps. including shelters therefore, and for the provisions of the housing of one motor vehicle per family unit.
(6) And upon other conditions as may lawfully be required by the Board of Health, the Building, Plumbing and Wiring Inspectors, and the Board of Appeals, not inconsistent with the foregoing. (Park and Planning Board)
Article 21. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for the purpose of repairing the: existing rail fence along Frairy Street beside Baker's Pond, or do or act anything in relation thereto. (Park and Planning Board)

Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to accept the following pay scale on a forty-hour week for patrolmen in the Police Department of the Town of Medfield:
Minimum $3,380 per year, or $65.00 per week Maximum $4,300 per year, or $82.69 per week

That each new member shall be given complete regulation uni- form and equipment at the Town's expense, and each regular full- time member of the police force be granted an allowance not to exceed $50.00 per year for replacement costs. To see if the Town will vote to accept the following regulations in regard to sick leave for the police force: Any regular full time employee shall be granted sick leaves aggregating not more than fifteen working days per year, without loss of pay. Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $50.00 to purchase insurance covering a period not to exceed six months, for the purpose of providing occupational job coverage in the amount of $150.00 per month for members of the police force. (Special Police Committee)

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING FOR THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS March 3, 1958
Pursuant to the foregoing warrant the meeting was opened at 12:00 o'clock noon by Joseph L. Marcionette, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen with the reading of said warrant through Article 1. The ballot box had been previously checked and found in good working order, instructions to voters posted and specimen ballots displayed at the entrance and within the polling place. The following persons were sworn in and assigned to their duties: Mary Mair Etienne and Alice Ripley distributing ballots, Lorraine Ricci, Constance Knight, Mildred Lombard, Margaret Kennedy, Elizabeth Lefebvre, Shirley Considine, Evelyn Gronberg, Joseph Mair, Cynthia Petrie, Charlotte Randolph, Hildegarden Munson, and Alfred A. Zullo as tellers, Abigail Sheahan and Anne Young checking at the ballot box and Thomas Clancy in charge of the ballot box.
The polls were declared closed at 8:00 P.M.
