Voted to approve the following resolutions :
Whereas : Practically all transportation of goods and people to and from and within this township at present moves on rubber
Whereas: The supply of that rubber is now severely cur- tailed "for the duration." thereby most seriously and peri- lously threatening our economy.
Be it resolved that this meeting regards the resumption of rail transportation as a vital necessity and lends its full support to the Selectmen's Committee endeavoring to pre- serve it.
Voted that the Town Clerk be authorized and hereby is instructed to send a letter of appreciation to Mr. Carlton . Shurtleff for his fine public spirit in presenting the Town with a parcel of land for a Town Landing at the West Shore at No. Eastham.
At this time the Moderator announced appointment of the following persons to the Finance Committee for three years: Charles L. Holbrook, Raymond N. Knowles and Al- fred (. Stowell.

M. then and there to act on the following articles.
