Article 21. Mr. Harvey T. Moore reported for the Committee on Controlling Erosion at the Camp Ground Landing West Shore, after hearing this report which in- cluded a letter from the State Waterways Department it was decided the matter should be postponed at this time. Article 24. Voted that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $230.00 for a snow plow.


Article 25. Voted to adopt the following By-law "There shall be an annual audit of the Town's accounts under the supervision of the Directors of Account of the Department of Corporation and Taxation. in accordance with the provisions of Section 35. Chapter 44, General Laws."


Voted to approve the following resolutions :


Whereas : Practically all transportation of goods and people to and from and within this township at present moves on rubber


Whereas: The supply of that rubber is now severely cur- tailed "for the duration." thereby most seriously and peri- lously threatening our economy.


Be it resolved that this meeting regards the resumption of rail transportation as a vital necessity and lends its full support to the Selectmen's Committee endeavoring to pre- serve it.


Voted that the Town Clerk be authorized and hereby is instructed to send a letter of appreciation to Mr. Carlton . Shurtleff for his fine public spirit in presenting the Town with a parcel of land for a Town Landing at the West Shore at No. Eastham.


At this time the Moderator announced appointment of the following persons to the Finance Committee for three years: Charles L. Holbrook, Raymond N. Knowles and Al- fred (. Stowell.

To either of the Constables of the Town of Eastham, in the County aforesaid : Greeting :


In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall in said town on Wednesday the Eleventh of March at 8:00 P. M. then and there to act on the following articles.


Article 1. To see if the town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 130, General Laws as amended by Chapter 598, Acts of 1941.


Article 2. To see if the town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to control, regulate or prohibit the taking of eels and any and all kinds of shellfish and seaworms as provided for under the provisions of Section 52, Chapter 130, General Laws as amended by Chapter 598, Acts of 1941.
