VEAL.

John Neal settled in the Parish of Unity between 1656 and 1662. His wife's name was Joan. He died 18 Feb. 1704. He calls himself John, Senr., though I have found no mention of John, Jr. It may have been his daughter, Mary, who married Samuel Miller about 1693. AAmy Neal. probably a daughter, witnessed a deed in 1600. She was a captive with the Indians the same year, and married Samuel Johnson in 1706. James Neal, of whom Andrew Neal was guardian in 1690, is men- tioned in 1602 and in 1701. I have not been able to trace any connection with this family of Neals and Walter Neal of Ports- mouth. nor Francis of Falmouth, nor the Neals of Salem and of Braintree.
