Abercrombie's Army, in 1758. Was on the Committee of Safety in the Revolution. He served as selectman, was a large land owner and prominent in town affairs. 18. Major Timothy, son of Isaac and Mary Remick, served in the Revolution from 8 May 1775 to Dec. 1783. He was pro- moted from private to Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and Major. Was in the battles of Bunker Hill, Lake Champlain, Ticonderoga, Hubbardston, Saratoga, around Philadelphia, at Valley Forge, Monmouth, around New York City, Stony Point, at the evacuation of Boston, Philadelphia, and New York, and served longer than any other soldier from Kittery, over eight and a half years. He married, 25 July 1775, Mercy Staples of Kit- tery, born 24 Oct. 1757. He died in February 1785, of disease contracted in the Army. She died twenty-three years later, in Cornish, Me.
