The Comptroller General's report on the account of John Weitzle for rations issued to the troops of this State from the first day of March 'till the first day of July, 1783, was read, approved, and an order drawn for the sum of five hundred and four pounds five shil- lings in specie, upon the Treasurer of the State, in favour of the said John Weitzle.
Note .- That Mr. Weitzle' receives this order on condition that he continue to supply the said troops agreeably to his former con- tract, and the proposals of Council, by their act of March the first, 1783.

By the President and the Supreme Executive Council of the Com- monwealth of Pennsylvania.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS, By an inquest held by the Coroner of the city and county of Philadelphia, it appears that James Molineaux, labourer, was, while in the prosecution of his lawful business in the night of the seventeenth of this present month, killed and murdered in Cedar street, near Front street, by some unknown person or per- sons :
And whereas, It is of the utmost importance to the lives of the good people of this State, and a due execution of the laws, that the perpetrators of a crime so horrid should be brought to condign and exemplary punishment : We have, therefore, thought proper to issue this proclamation, hereby engaging that the publick reward of one hundred pounds in specie shall be paid to any person or per- sons who shall apprehend and secure the perpetrator or perpetra- tors of the said murder ; to be paid on conviction for the same. And we do hereby charge and require all Judges, Justices, Sheriffs, and Constables, to make diligent search and inquiry after, and to use their utmost endeavours to apprehend and secure the perpetra- tor or perpetrators of the said murder, their aiders, abettors, and comforters, and every of them, so that they may be dealt with ac- cording to law.
Given in Council, under the hand of his Excellency JOHN DICK- INSON, Esquire, President, and the seal of the State, at Phila- delphia, this twenty-fourth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-three.

Several depositions, concerning some late robberies in Bucks . county, were handed in to Council by Colonel Joseph Hart, Lieu- tenant of said county, which being read, the Council agreed to issue a proclamation in the following words, to wit :
By the President und the Supreme Executive Council of the Com- monwealth of Pennsylvania.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, By depositions taken according to law, it appears that in the night of the twenty-first instant, present month, the dwelling houses of William Darroch, Collector of Taxes, Robert Darroch, Collector of Militia Fines, John Shaw, Robert Gibson, Joseph Greer, and Robert Robinson, in the county of Bucks, with- in this state, have been broken open, and the said William Darroch, Robert Darroch, John Shaw, Robert Gibson, Joseph Greer and Robert Robinson, robbed of sums of money, and many valuable effects, by Moses Doan, Abraham Doan, Levi Doan, Malin Doan, and other persons unknown :
And whereas, It is of the utmost importance to the good people of this State that the perpetrators of such attrocious crimes should be brought to condign punishment, we have thought fit to offer, and do hereby offer, a publick reward one hundred pounds in specie, for each and every of the perpetrators of the said robberies, or any of them, to be paid, or conviction for the same, to any person or persons who shall apprehend and secure them, or any of them ; and over and above the said reward, we do hereby promise free and full pardon to any one of the said robbers, their aiders, abettors, or comforters, who shall discover, apprehend, and secure, any other, or others, of the said robbers, so that he, or they, shall be convict- ed as aforesaid : And all Judges, Justices, Sheriffs, and Constables, are hereby strictly enjoined and required to make diligent search and inquiry after, and to use their utmost endeavors to apprehend and secure the said robbers, their aiders, abettors, and comforters, and every of them, so that they may be dealt with according to law.

The appointment of Nicholas Fitzsimmons to the place of Stew- ard to the Pest Houses, by the Trustees of State Island, was read and approved. The said Steward is required to attend at the Coun- cil Chamber on Monday next.

Resolved, That the Surveyor General be directed to inform Coun- cil under what right the said survey was' made.
William Kelly and William Smith, of the county of Lancaster, were commissioned Justices of the Peace for the said county, upon a return made according to law.
A similar commission was issued to John Bartholomew, Esquire, elected agreeably to law, for the county of Chester.
An order was drawn on the Treasurer in favor of Frederick Sneider, for the sum of fifteen pounds fifteen shillings and six pence, in full of his account for his wages as Doorkeeper to this Board, and cash paid for sundry articles for the use of Council for the month of July.
Upon an election by ballot, it appears that John Helm was unanimously appointed to the office for regulating and sealing or marking measures, formerly held by Nathaniel Allen.

Ordered, That all the papers respecting the title of Jacob Shal- lus to a lot of ground within the limits of this City, be again re- ferred to the Surveyor General, Receiver General, and Secretary of the Land Office, with directions to report whether some other lot than that at first applied for by Jacob Shallus, and since discov- ered to have been surveyed to William Sallaway, in right of an original purchase, may, agreeably to the usual mode of proceedings, be assigned to the said Shallus, and whether the whole of the lot situated at the corner of Schuylkill Front street and Locust street, mentioned in the Surveyor General's certificate of the thirty- first of the last month, may be so assigned.
An order was drawn on the Treasurer in favor of John Stewart, for the sum of two hundred and seventy pounds five shillings State money of the seventh of April, 1781, being the principal and in- terest due for a mare furnished by the said Stewart for the use of the public.

An order was drawn on the Treasurer in favour of Captain Thom- as Huston, for the sum of twelve pounds five shillings, to enable him to discharge a debt of nine pounds recovered by William Hodge, for the services of his Negro slave Bristol, on board the State brigg Convention, late commanded by said Huston, as appears by a report of referrees, together with three pounds, with five shil- lings costs.
Agreeably to the Comptroller General's report, an order was drawn upon the Treasurer, for the sum of eight pounds six shillings and seven pence halfpenny, State money of the seventh of April, 1781, in favour of Robert Merrick, in full of a certificate for a horse furnished by him for public use.
