A letter from Michael Huffnagle, Esquire, read on the ninth ( 1 September last, was again called up, and an order taken that Jobar Proctor, Esquire, be directed to receive from Mrs. McCoy, of th county of Westmoreland, all the bonds, book accounts, &ca., &ca fo late the property of Alexander Ross, an attainted traitor, and tha suits be immediately commenced upon the said bonds, &ca., &ca. for the benefit of the State.

In favor of John Weitzle, Esquire, for the sum of twenty pounds five shillings, being a ballance due to him upon the settlement of his account against the State for the supply of Captain Robinson's Rangers, agreeably to the Comptroller's of the tenth day of No- vember, 1783 ; to be paid out of the fund appropriated to the fron- tier defence.
In favor of Christopher Baker, for the sum of five pounds thir- teen shillings, due on his account against the State for writing.
Upon the Naval Officer, in favor of Lieutenant James McMichael, for the sum of three hundred dollars, advanced in part of his part by a resolution of the Assembly of the ninth instant.

The following letter from his Excellency General Washington, reply to their address of the ninth instant, was read :

GENTLEMEN :- I am duly affected by the welcome reception I have met with on my return to this city, and accept with unusual easure your obliging congratulation.
But I feel myself particularly indebted to you, gentlemen, for at delicate sensibility which hath spared my feelings, and by sup- ressing your sentiments of my conduct, placed it in but too fair point of light.
It is from a heart overflowing with gratitude for your past assis- ance and present politeness, that I reciprocate all your benevolent ishes.
While my farewell blessing thus attends you, permit me to give his last public testimony of the great respect and esteem with which I have the honor to be, gentlemen, your obedient, humble ervant,

Resolved, That the cropping be remitted.
The petition of James Hemphill, of Northampton county, praying the redress of this Board, with the Attorney General's opinion upon the subject, was read.
The Comptroller's report on the recruiting account of James Mccullough, was read and approved.
The memorial of Messieurs McClenaghans and Moore, merchants of Philadelphia, was read; and thereupon,
Ordered, That the memorialists publish in at least two of the newspapers of this city, an accurate inventory of all the goods, materials, &ca., &ca., saved from the wreck of the Brigantine Philadelphia, mentioned in their memorial of to-day, and that in the same advertisement, they state their application to this Board, and call upon the persons supposed to be consignees, and all others concerned, to make their objections, if any they have, against the sale prayed for.
Ordered, That William Nichols, John Purviance, and Thomas Irwin, be appointed to inspect the goods and materials mentioned in the aforesaid memorial, to report the condition thereof, and whether they come within the intent and benefit of the act intitled "An Act to alter and amend an act of Assembly intitled 'An Act for the effectual suppression of public auctions and vendues, and to prohibit male persons capable of bearing arms from being hawk- ers and pedlars,' so far as to allow the sale of public auction of goods damaged or ship-wrecked," passed the second day of March, 1780.

A deed to William Kerlin was examined and signed by his Ex- cellency the President, for 60 acres of land, situate in the township of Nether Providence, in the county of Chester, late the estate of Gideon Vernos, an attainted traytor. Deed dated the nineteenth day of November, 1783.
