COMPANY D (CONCORDVILLE RIFLES).

(This company was recruited in Delaware County hy Capt. William S. Men- denhall, of Chads' Ford, of that county. He was descended from a family of English Quakers, who emigrated to America during the persecutions of that people in England and settled in Concord township (then a part of Chester County), contemporary with the William Penn settlers in Pennsylvania. Ahout Dec. 1, 1863, fifty men of Co. D re-enlisted, at Fernandina, Fla., as veterans. We give subjoined the names of those only who went from Chester County.)
