YOLANDA JONES
Services for Yolanda A. Jones were held Monday, July 9, 1979 at the Lake Isabella First Baptist Church with the Reverend Hugh Power officiating. Interment followed at the Kern River Valley District Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born August 29, 1909 in Wilberton, Oklahoma and died on July 4, 1979 at the Kern Valley Hospital. She lived on Park Ave. in the Mt. Mesa area and has been in the Valley for 13 years. She had been known as. Henney Penny on the CB radio. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband Frank of Mt. Mesa, one son Robert of Fresno. 2 Daughters, Betty Modugno of Sylmar, Calif. Barbara Wilson of San Diego, 2 sisters, Anna Null and Ella Fabrizio both of San Fernando. 14 Grand- children and 1 Great Grandchild. Donations may be made in her name to a General Fund at the First Baptist Church.

Idabelle (Jerry) Dillabaugh died Sunday July 8, 1979 in a Bakersfield Hospital after a long illness. She was born Jan. 17, 1902 in Decatur, Illinois. Mrs Dillabaugh lived In Onyx and has been in the Valley for the last 5 years. Services are Thursday July 12, at 10 a.m. at the Valley Mortuary Chapel. The Reverend Hugh Power officated with the Women of the Moose. Interment followed at the Kern River Valley District Cemetery. She Is survived by her husband Jack of Long Beach. One daughter Mary Bliet on Onyx and one grandson Kevin Reed Vliet of Artesia, Calif

Services were held Wednesday July 11, 1979 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel at 2 p.m. with Bo Williams of Masonic Lodge officiating. Mr. Garvin who lived on Webb St. in Lake Isabella has been here for the last 12 years. He was born Sept. 8, 1900 in Texas. Interment was in the Kern River Valley District Cemetery. JAMES KILLEEN
Funeral Mass for James Edward Killeen was held Friday, June 29, at 9 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church with Father Mark Renner officiating. It was proceeded by a Rosary Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Valley Mortuary Chapel.
Mr. Killeen who lived on Reeder Drive in Lake Isabella died Tuesday in a Bakersfield Hospital. He has lived here in the Valley for the last nine years. He was retired as a painter with the Long Beach Naval Station in Long Beach, California. He was a Veteran of WW I and was the youngest man from the United States to serve in that War. He was 15 when in the trenches in France.
He is survived by his wife Lessie of Lake Isabella. One son, James Phillip Killeen of Long Beach. Two sisters, Ruth Grant and Elizabeth Whitton both of Ohio. One Granddaughter and three Grandsons.

Sidney Waldrop
Funeral services were held in Elizabethtown, Kentucky for Sidney Clarence Waldrop on July 21st. Mr. Wadrop, 83, who died July 19th, was born August 16, 1895 in Sherman, Texas.
He was a long time resident of California, having run the Cook House at the Alexander-Rudnick Onyx Ranch in the early 40's. He also .was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad and retired from the Sher- iff's Lerdo Facility.
He is aurvived by his wife, Hattie Mae; son Lee Roy, both of Kentucky; three grandchildren, formerly of Lake Isabella, Jeff and Kurt Waldrop and Vicki Meadows; and one great grand- son, Jeremiah Waldrop.
Larry Paggi
Rosay was recited Wednesday July 18, at 8 p.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church for Larry Paggi, 79, who died July 14, in Bakersfield at the Beverly Manor Convalecent Hospital. Mass was celebrated Thursday, July 19, at 9 a.m. in the Church.
Paggi will be remembered as owner of Larry's Den in Wofford Heights for several years.
Survivors include his wife Millie of Kernville; and two brothers, Moses of Tulare and Sero of Exeter and many nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers were, Richard Paggi, Fred Paggi, Alfred Paggi, Floyd Paggi, John DeGiuli, Bob Fortune and Honorary Casket Bearer was George Faulk.
Interment was at Lakeview Lawn, Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakers- field, Calif.
Charles Endres
Charles Endres born Oct. 9, 1908 Buffalo, New York; died Mt. Mesa, California July 29, 1979. Mr. Endres came to California in 1947 and worked 23 years as an electrical engineer for Pacific Telephone. He moved to the Isabella Valley in 1963, and worked 7 years at the Naval Wespons Center. China Lake. Mr. Endres ran his own business, Endres Electronics of Mt. Mesa. In addition he was the holder of several electronic patents including the bandmaster antenna. Mr. Endres was a ham radio operator for 63 years, his call letters were WSPJ. He is survived by hia wife Gertrude of Mi. Mesa, his son Charles of Redding. His daughters Sallie Ann of Northridge, and Karen Marie of Grants Pass, Oregon; one brother Ralph Endres of Buffalo, New York and nine gran- dchildren. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

Jewel Curtis passed away suddenly at home on July 29. Mrs. Curtis, a resident of Van Nuys, was vacationing at her home in Wofford Heights. She is survived by her daughter Joan Austin of North Hollywood, Grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Burial and memorial services were held at Eter- nal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall. Lacy Marie Hilburn died July 28 in a Bakersfield hospital. A resident of Lake Isabella, Mrs. Hilburn is sur- vived by her daughter Lourain Melton of Lake Isabella, a brother Lester Wood of Texas, two sisters Nina French and Edna Hughes of Texas, and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Hilburn will be buried in Edinberg, Texas. She was 79. Services by Valley Mortuary.

Funeral services were held in Las Vegas, Nevada for Betty Horn. Mrs. Horn had lived in Onyx with her late husband Robert. Burial was at the Kern River Valley Cemetery, Wofford Heights on July 31. Mrs. Horn was 58.

HARRY MOSIER
Harry Mexal Mosier, 69, was born Jan. 10, 1910 in Evansville, Indiana. Died August 8, 1979 in the Kern Valley Hospital.
Mr. Mosier lived at 2301 Harnage St. in Lake Isabella and has been here in the Valley for the last 11 years. Prior to that he was a maintainence engineer for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in the Los Angeles area. He was a member of the Weldon Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 10, 1979 at the Kern River Valley District cemetery with the Reverend H. B. Long of - ficiating. He is survived by his wife Georgia, One daughter, JoAnn Myatt of Long Beach. Two sisters, Dolores Mosier of Lake Isabella and Margaret Eichel of Arizona. Two grand children, Dwinna and Bryan Myatt both of Long Beach.

Roselee Spradlin
Funeral services for Roselee Spradlin, 88, were held recently in Panorama City. Mrs. Spradlin died on August 24.
He is survived by her husband Grover Lee of Panorama City; a daughter, Margie, also of Panorama City; another daughter, Marian of Chowchilla; and a son, Don of Panorama. Also eight grandsons and 10 great grandchildren.
She was a resident of the Kern River Valley for 15 years.
Lloyd Banks
Lloyd Banks passed away August 16 at UCLA Hospital. Born December 17. 1909 in Burlington, Iowa. He was 69. Mr. Banks was married to Gladys Kimball In Cassville, Missouri on November 11, 1939 and moved in 1940 to the Los Angeles area where he was employed by McDonnell Douglas for 31 years. Since retirement 7 years ago they has resided at Lake Isabella.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Thomas of Lawndale, and David of Los Angeles; four grandchildren, Deborah, Caren, Diana and Douglas.
A service in memory was conducted by Rev. Robert I. Wells of First Bap- tist Church of Reseda, at Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.

Earl Nelson Round died Aug. 27, 1979 in a Bakersfield Hosp. Mr. Round, who lived at 301 Kilberth St. in Bodfish was born April 26, 1923 in Pennsylvania. Mr. Round, who was a truck driver for 30 years & also a Navy Veteran, has lived in the Valley for the last three years. He was also a member of REACT. David Greenig
David E. Greenig was born May 2, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and. died August 29, 1979 at the Kern Valley Hospital. Mr. Greenig has lived in the Valley for 10 months, he is a former resident of Long Beach, California where he retired from the Naval Ship Yards. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose & Past Governor of Long Beach 600 with fellowship degree.
Memorial Services were held at the Valley Mortuary Sunday Sept. 2, 1979. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Fund.

Mildred (Millie) A. Thompson, 63, of Lake Isabella died Sept. 16, 1979. Services were held at Rose Hills Sept. 19.
Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Thompson lived in South Gate for 32 years. She was employed there for 18 years by Dr. H. Siegel and Dr. M. Baron.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Fred Thompson; son Gary of North Hollywood; mother Anna M. Benton of South Gate, sister Marilyn Bowbeer of Whittier and brother Marvin Benton of Hollywood. she had one grandchild.

William Turner
Memorial servicea were held for William Dewey Turner, September 22, 1979, at the Church of the Nazarene in Lake Isabella. Rev. B.M. Calhoon officiated.
Mr. Turner passed away at his Lake Isabella home September 15. He was born July 14, 1898 in Eureka, Utah. He married Nesta Carrillo September 5, 1921 in Alhambra, Calif. They moved to Kern County in 1922, where he worked in the oil fields for many years. Bill and Nesta have lived in the Kern River Valley for 22 years.
He is survived by: wife Nesta; son, William A. Turner, Bodfish; daughter, Mary Threewit, Paonia, Colorado; 2 grandsons, 4 gran- daughters, 5 great grandhchildren; one brother, Edgar J. Turner, Camarillo, Ca .; one sister, Alberta Sager, Paramount, Ca.

Wayne Harness of Bodfish passed away suddenly in Santa Clara, California. A professional engineer for 40 years, he is survived by his wife Dorothy, his son and daughter in law Larry and Christine Harness and one grandson David. Mr. Harness will be fondly remembered by many friends in the Los Angeles area and by his two cousins Ralph Shuler of Santa Clara and Howard Shuler of Monrovia. Raymond Brooks
A funeral service was held at Valley Mortuary Chapel on Friday Septem- ber 28th for Raymond S. Brooks; members of Elks Lodge No. 2358 of- ficiated.
Known to his many friends by his C.B. handle "Hotshot", Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth of Hillview Acres. A veteran of WW II Mr. Brooks served as a Navy seabee in the Pacific.

Richard Sherman, a well known ex- cavating contractor here in the Valley, died tragically Thursday in a motor vehicle collision near Walker Summit. Mass was held for Mr. Sherman on Tuesday morning, Oc- tober 2 at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Wofford Heights. Interment was at the Kern River Valley Cemetery.

Thomas Beaury
Thomas D. Beaury, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Beaury of Lake Isabella, died September 21 of a heart attack. He was 51. Services were con- ducted at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Glendale.
Mr. Beaury worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 32 years, served in the Air Force in Korea and was a member of the Masons, Elks, and a reserve office of the South Pasadena Police Department.
An avid CB'er, Mr. Beaury attended the CB breakfast in Lake Isabella Sept. 15. His handle was Coca Cola, and his wife Betty was known as Busy Bee. They had just celebrated their 28th anniversary.
Beaury was survived by his wife, sons William, Michael and Thomas, daughter Patricia Bostick, his paren- ts and seven grandchildren.

ROBERT ZBINDON
Robert Zbinden, 76, of Lake Isabella died of natural causes at the home of his step-daughter in Beaver, Utah on October 5, 1979.
He was born December 22, 1902 in Bern, Switzerland.
He married Dorothy Darcie Scaife on November 11, 1954 in Reno, Nevada. Survivors were his widow of Lake Isabella, step-daughter Mrs. Michael (Barbara) Robinson, Beaver. Utah; step-son Jim Beaumont, Van Nuys, Californis; eight grandchildren and one great grandaughter.
Funeral graveside services were held October 9, at 11:30 a.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery, Beaver, Utah with interment taking place under the direction of the 0lpin Mortuary of Beaver.

RAYMOND WHITE
Services were held at the Church of Our Fathers, Forest Lawn in Cypress November 3 for Raymond C. White of Lake Isabella. Pastor Jin Hux of- ficiated, and soloist was Bob Paige, a long-time friend. Mr. White graduated from State Teachers College in 1923, came to California to the Angeles Temple, where he studied under Aimee Mc- Pherson for two years. He was
married to Bessie Estes in 1926, a marriage which lasted for 54 years. He retired in 1973, and his hobby was intertaining the elderly in con- valescent homes. He earned three pins for 400 hours of such work, and moved to Lake Isabella in 1976. He was active in the Kern River Valley Art Association until his death. He leaves his wife, Bessie and sons Bob, Eugine and Charles of Cypress and Marvin of Costa Mesa, 13 grand children and four great grandchildren. He left many friends also in Lake Isabella and Orange County.

A private cremation was held for William Nelson Growden of Wofford Heights. Mr. Growden born in Ten- nessee August 18, 1893 was a retired Air Force Veteran with 30 years of government service including World War II. Mr. Growden is survived by his wife Minna of Wofford Heights and a son, William C. Growden of An- chorage, Alaska. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

Frances Elizabeth Thome, born in San Francisco September 29, 1916, passed away November 4 in Baker- sfield.
She was survived by her children, Steve Thome of Studio City, Don Thome of Lake Isabella, Tim Thome of Montroze, Lori Sampson of Panaroma City, Cathy Groninga of La Crescenta, Cindy Wimmer of Lake Isabella and Russ Thome of Glendale. She was also survived by her father and stepmother, Earl and Trudy Lambert of Lake Isabella; one sister, Grace Shanks of Escondido and one brother, Morgan Lambert of Lake Isabella. She was grandmother to nine grandchildren. Mrs. Thome was 63 and had resided in Lake Isabella for the last 11 years. Arrangements were made by the Neptune Society of Fresno.

A memorial service for Frances Dicks was held at Valley Mortuary Chapel, Lake Isabella. Frances Dicks is survived by her sister Mrs. Glenn R. Hale of Wofford Heights. Known as "Frankie" to her many friends and loved ones, Frances Dicks was 60 years old.

JOHN ROEHM
John Francis Roehm, born January 31, 1920, died November 18, 1979. A memorial service was held by his immediate family. Arrangements were by the Neptune Society of Fresno.
"Jack" as he was known by all his friends in the valley he lived in and loved, was a veteran and a member of the Moose and Eagle lodges.
He is survived by his two daughters, Beverly Christine of Bakersfield and Peggy Fellows of Fountain Valley, one brother, Fred W. Roehm of Warren, Michigan, and four sisters, Marie Best of Lake Isabella, Kathryn Zemens of Detroit, Betty Ubelhor and Lorraine Ferqueron, both of St. Claire Shores, Michigan.

Evelyn Hooper
Services were held November 27. for Mis. Evelyn A. Hooper of Lake Isabella, who died November 22 at Kern Valley Hospital
Born in 1910 in Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Hooper was a past resident of Long Beach and lived in Lake Isabella for 13 years. She was a charter mem- ber of Eastern Star both in Kernville and Artesia, Califorma, a member of the White Shrine of Artesta. the Moose Lodge of Lake Isabella, and of Kern River Valley REACT
She and her husband were the foun- ders of the citizens' band REACT team in the valley He was first president, she lust secretary. treasurer. She had served recently as the "sunshine girl" for the group. sending flowers, cards and so forth to nther members
She was well-known to the sheriff's and fire department personnel for her assistance in emergency calls. She had monitored channel nine over a ten-year period to provide emergency aid of information on weather or road conditions.
She is survived by her husband. Edwin 1 .. Hooper. of the Bella Vista tract, daughter Barbara Haulenbeck of Fullerton and sons Edwin Jr and Fred 1. Hooper of Fullerton and On- tarin.
Her sister. Juamta Watson, lives in Onyx; brother Donald Booker m Wichita, and nephew Robert Clansen lives in Ony x
She is also survived by nine gran- dehildren and eight great- grandefuldren
