Willard H. Kuykendall
Services were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Santa Barbara for Willard H. Kuykendall, 64, of Wofford Heights, who died at St. Francis Hospital on June 6.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Karen Powell of Santa Barbara and Mrs. Nelda Schieriah of Santa Maria, two sisters, Mrs. Julle Davis of Pampa, Texas and Mrs. Fowler Prater of Oklahoma.
He is also survived by five gran- dchildren and one great-grandchild.
Emmett Emery Erickson
Memorial services were held Mon- day, July 7. Emmett Emory Erickson of Squirrel Valley, the Rev. Lee Wilson of St. Peter's Episcopal Chur- ch, Kernville officlated.
Mr. Erickson passed away July 1, 1980 in U.C.L.A. Medical Center Hospital in Los Angeles. Mr. Erickson is survived by his wife Gladys and one daughter Michelle of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Joseph Stanley Hollar, Sr. of Mt. Mesa passed away at Kern Valley Hospital on June 29, 1980. Mr. Hollar is survived by his wife Eloise, his son Joseph Jr. of San Jose, two daughters, Barbara of Pasadena and Nancy of Huntington Beach: eleven gran- dchildren and three great gran- dchildren. Born February 11, 1895, Mr. Hollar was a World War I Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Beatrice Cowen Jordan
On July 18 at 2 o'clock In the afternoon, a memorial service will be held in the Methodist Church In Kernville, for Beatrice C. Jordan. She had lived here with her husband for the past fifteen years. She was among the small group that founded the Kern River Valley Historical Society, and was ac- tive in this organization until her late illness. She was also on an
active member in the Friends of the Library group. For some few years, worked in the Pink Ladies group with our Com. munity Hospital.
Outgoing in nature, vivaclous and friendly, she made many good friends In these organizations. Friends she treasured through all these years.
Her most abiding interest was literature, so she was intensely interested in the Friends of the Library group.
It Is hoped that all her old friends in these organizations will see this notice and be able to attend the service.
Other of her old friends who may not be members of the above organizations will be welcome.
Byron Omar Stoll
Funeral services were held Thur- sday July 24 at the First Baptist Chur- ch Lake Isabella for Byron O. Stoll; Reverend Hugh Power officiated.
Mr. Stoll is survived by his wife Myrtle and son Robert, both of Wof- ford Heights. Mr. Stoll was retired from 33 years in the aerospace in- dustry with Rockwell International Corp. Born in Higginsville, Missourl August 20, 19II, Mr. Stoll was 68.

Graveside services were held for Andy J. Rodenbucher Saturday, July 19 at Rose Hills Cemetery, Whittier, California.
Mr. Rodenbucher died in Baker- sfield July 16, 1980. He waa 72.
Mr. Rodenbucher was retired from Kern Valley Hospital where he had worked since It first opened.
He Is survived by his wife of 49 years, Theresa; a son Paul of Lan- caster, son Andy of Whittler, three grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.

ANNA EEYNON
Anna Eeynon, a native Californian since her birth in San Jose in 1897, died recently in Bakersfield just two years after she and her husband moved there from Wofford Heights. Mrs. Eeynon leaves her husband Frank, a son Earl Eeynon of Brea, California, a cousin Bill Eeynon of Mt. Mesa and a host of good neighbors and friends in Wofford Heights Trailer Park. She will be sorely missed by her husband of 50 years of successful marriage. Burial was at Westminister Cemetery in Long Beach, with arrangements handled by Shongberg Mortuary.

Madeline D. Chatelle, wife of Patrick J. Chatelle born on February 6, 1915 died on July 22, 1980 in Baker- sfield at Mercy Hospital at 1:07 a.m. Memorial services will be held at the St. Jude's Church in Wofford Heights August 2, 1980 at 10a.m. on Saturday.
She worked at the school district for 7 years and also was a member of the Altar Society, Grandmother's Club 99, Eagles and Redmen's lodge and 1 year resident in Lake Isabella, migrating from Canada being born as a Iroquois Indian. Elizabeth Rayeanne Caplinger
Memorial services were held August 5, 1980 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel for Elizabeth Rayeanne Caplinger who died tragicly from in- juries sustained in an auto accident; Pastor Ben Bills of the First Baptist Church, Kernville officiated.
Mias Caplinger was born on November 7, 1956; in San Diego, California.
Rayeanne, as she was known to her many friends, was an employee of the United States Forestry Service Con- servation Corps.
She is survived by her parents Ken- neth "Cap" and Betty Caplinger Sr. of Lake Isabella, a brother Kenneth Ray Jr. who is stationed in San Diego, with the U.S. Navy also a brother Charles Richerson of Tampa, Florida, a siater, Connie Lynne Nelson, of Oak- vlew, California.
She was a graduate of Hueneme High School where she was a member of tha band. She also attended Ven- tura and Oxnard Junior Colleges.
Rayeanne was 23 years old. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
William Lee Cox
Private memorial services were held August 5, 1980 for William Lee Cox who died in Bakersfield after a long illness.
Mr. Cox was born in Laweren- ceburg, Indlana on January 13, 1927. He was a truck driver most of his life before retiring to the Kern River Valley.

Mr. Coones is survived by his wife Juanita, of Mt. Mesa, two sons, Paul of Tracy, and Mike of San Leandro, two daughters, Janet of Roseville, and Paulette of San Leandro, five sisters, Dalsy of Arkansas, Grace of · Sacramento, Rose and Edna of Bakersfield, and Irene of Oregon, and six grandchildren.
Born in Ionia, Kansas on April 1, 1913, Mr. Coones was 67 years of age.

Mrs. Barenchi was a member of the Eastern Star and participated in the activities of the Job's Daughters and Rainbow Girls.

A memorial service was held for Madeline D. Chatelle at St. Jude's Church in Wofford Heights on Satur- day, August 2, 1980, at 10 a.m.
Born on February 5, 1915 in Hogan- sburg, New York, passed away in Bakerafield's Mercy Hospital on July 22, 1980.
Madeline Chatelle had been a resident of Lake Isabella for one year. She had lived in Lawndale for 23 years and had been a Crossing Guard for the L.A. County School District for seven years. Mrs. Chatelle was a member of the Eagles, Improved Order of Red- men, Alter Society and Gran- dmother's Club Number 94.
Madeline Chatelle Is survived by her husband Patrick, children Rene, Monica, Karen and Irene, of Lawn- dale, Adrienne and Patricia of Lake Isabella. Daughter Madeline resides in Michigan. There are 15 gran- dchildren and one great grandchild.
Fred Alfred PIckerell
Graveside services were held on August 4, 1980 for Fred Alfred Pickerell who died at Kern Valley Hospital on July 31, 1980. Reverend Edward Rutherford of the Assembly of God Church, Wofford Heights of- ficiated.
Mr. Pickerell had been a fisherman in the Alaskan Gulf for many years. He was also retired from Union Car- bide where he waa a safety inspector for 14 years.
He Is aurvived by his wife Loratta and @ son John both of Wofford Heights.

Mary Katherine McIver passed away July 25 in Onyx at the age of 91. Born November 23, 1888 in Warsaw. New York, she is survived by her husband, Murdo McIver, a son Russel McIver of Kent, Washington, a daughter, Mary Jane Majors of Onyx, ten grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.
Services were held July 29 at Sacred Heart Church. Lancaster. Interment was at Lancaster Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Muman Funeral Home.
Murdo and Mary McIver lived at the Dove Springs Aqueduct Station in the Red Rock Canyon area for 24 years, and knew many of the old- timers in the Kern River Valley.

LOUIS JOHN VOSS
A memorial service was held Oct- ober 8 at- the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mt. Mesa for Louis John Voss, 88, who died following a short illiness at the Kern Valley Hospital. Voss was born August 22, 1892 in Herman, Wisconisn, son of Nicholas and Margaret Gosse Voss. He farmed in that state's Sheboygan County for many years before moving to Los Angeles, where he operated a service station until his retirement and move to Lake Isabella in 1962. He married Marie Plumby in 1949.
Mr. Voss is survived by his wife, a son Louis C. Voss of Milwaukee, two daughters Viola Head of Sheboygan and Arneta Feldmenn of Howards Grove, Wisconsin; a stepson Eugene Plumhy of Salt Lake City, Utah, ten grandchildren and five great grand- children. He is survived also by a brother, Arno Voss of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by one son, one sister and six brothers. Mr. Voss was cremated and the ashes scattered over the Greenhorn Mountains. Arrangements were by Valley Mortuary.

A memorial service was held for Eugene Lane of Kernville on October 7 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel. Services were officiated by mem- bers of the Masonic Lodge and inter- ment was at Sunnyside Mausoleum, Long Beach. Mr. Lane who was a foreman for Southern California Edison Company, is survived by his wife Effie, and two brothers, Denny and Cline Lane, both of Springdale, Arkansas. Dr. Rene Laurene Engel
Dr. Rene Laurene Engel, Ph. D., a resident of China Lake and Wofford Heights since 1952, passed on at Kern Valley Hospital on October 18. He Is 'survived by his wife, Mareelle Engel. A memorial service In China Lake will be held Saturday, November I al 1 p.m. In the chapel on the base at Naval Weapons Center. Friends are Invited lo attend.
Dr. Engel, Earth-Scientist Ph. D. from Caltech, Pasadena, was born in Paris, France June 15, 1887 from parents who were opera-singers in Luxenbourg and France .He came to the U. S. In 1912 and worked for Anaconda Copper Mining Co. In Mon- tana until called back to France in 1914 for military duty during the First World War.
While there he made a report for the Peace Commission of Versalles on the coal resources of the Sarre Basin in Germany.
In 1940 he went to Manila, P.T. to develope a national chemical industry program. While there the Japanese interned him after Pearl Harbor. There he organized the school system in the Santo Thomas Internment Camp and taught physical chemistry and the history of western civilization.
When liberated Dr. Egnel returned to the U. S. where he became vice- president of International Petroleum Consultants, Pasadena (1947-54), president & general manager of R. Engel & Associates in Karn County (tungsten mining bere In Wofford Heights), was Senior Research Sclen- tist and director of the Oceanlc Research at U. S. Naval Ordinance Test Station, China Lake (1958-66), and many other projects.
In 1966 he retired but continued as consultant on several activities In- cluding Land-Ocean Systems, Baker- sfield, U.S.F.S. Sequoia National Forest and Monache Ecological System investigation . for Kern Plateau. He was also organizer and chairman of a local chapter of Com- mon Cause.

Mr. Dorris passed away at Motion Picture Hospital in Woodland Hills, CA on November 7, 1980. Mr. Dorris spent 35 years as a photographer for Pathe=Werner Brothers Studios. He is survived by his wife Mable, son Joseph of Littleton, Colorado, step-son Tommy Lambert of Bodfish. a daughter Barbara Monroe of Canoga Park, CA., step-daughter Margaret Peace of Alabama and Frances Ellis of Long Beach. Services were officiated by Reverend James 0. Hux, Sr. of Moun- tain View Southern Baptist Church, with music by the True Faith Singers. Interment in Kern Valley Cemetery. Arrangement by Valley Mortuary.

PAUL JAMES WILSON
Agraveside service was held for Paul James Wilson of Lake Isabella, CA. on Monday, November 3rd, 1980 in the Kern River Valley Cemetery. Mr. Wilson passed away on October 29, 1980 at the Kern Valley Hospital in Mt. Mesa; he was born in Johnston Station, Iowa on July 16, 1898 and was 82. Services were officiated by Pastor Oren Ice. Mr. Paul Wilson is survived by his wife Edith of Lake Isabella, two sons Lowell and Gene both of Lake Isabella, a brother Lloyd R. of Illinois a brother Rodney G. of Des Moines, Iowa, a sister Marie Griffin of Kerr- ville, Texas, a sister Daisey Wells of Kerrville, Texas.

CHARLES BLACKMAN
A graveside service was held for Charles Theodore Balckman of Lake Isabella at the Kern River Valley Cemetery on Saturday, November 8, 1980. Mr. Blackman was born in Pitts- burg, Kansas on October 16, 1916. and had been a Jet Engine Mechanic for the U.S. Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base. he died at Hope Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. on November 6, 1980. Blackman is survived by his wife Norma of Lake Isabella, sons Charles T. Jr. of Spokene, Washington, Robert D. of Palmdale, Michael L. of Steven- sville, Montana. Daughters Patty E. Forde, Los Angeles, Janice E. Slack. Henryville, Indiana, and there were 16 grandchildren.
Mr. Blackman was a member of the Moose Lodge, and Visitors Council, Lake Isabella Chamber of Commerce. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
