TOWN MEETING WARRANT.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, NORFOLK, SS.
To HENRY H. FRANCIS, or either of the Constables of the Town of Randolph, in said County, GREETING :
You are hereby required to notify and warn the inhab- itants of said town of Randolph, qualified to vote in town affairs, to assemble at Stetson Hall in said town, on Monday, the fourth day of April next, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles ; namely,-
ARTICLE 1. To choose a moderator to preside at said meeting.
ART. 2. To choose all such town officers as towns are by law authorized and required to choose at their annual meeting. Also a trustee for Stetson School Fund.
ART. 3. To hear the report of the several town officers, and act thereon.
ART. 4. To vote by ballot, "Yes" or " No," in answer to the question, "Shall Licenses be granted for the sale of in- toxicating liquors in this town?"
ART. 5. To see if the town will raise and appropriate money for the purpose of enforcing the law in relation to the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town during the ensu- ing year, as petitioned for by John C. Labaree and sixteen others.
ART. 6. To raise such sums of money as may be deemed necessary for the support of schools, and appropriate the same.

ART. 7. To raise such sums of money as may be thought proper for repairs of school buildings and incidental ex- penses of schools.
ART. 8. To decide on the amount of money required to defray the general town expenses for the ensuing year, and make appropriations thereof.
ART. 9. To raise such amount of money as may be deemed advisable for the reduction of the town debt, and make appropriation for the same.
ART. 10. To raise money for the repairs of highways, and determine the manner of expending the same.
ART. 11. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to engines and the pay of enginemen, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
ART. 12. To see what action the town will take relative to the purchasing of fire-extinguishers, as recommended by the engineers, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
ART. 13. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to the construction of reservoirs, as recommended by the engineers, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
ART. 14. To see if the town will accept the list of jurors as prepared by the selectmen, and posted according to law.
ART. 15. To see if the town will make an appropriation for the decoration of soldiers' graves under the direction of Capt. Horace Niles, Post 110.
ART. 16. To see if the town will instruct the selectmen to remove the ledge on North Street, opposite the residence of S. W. Willard, and raise and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by S. W. Willard and others.
ART. 17. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to a claim of Francis Smith for damage occasioned by

the recent repairs on North Street, as petitioned for by Fran- cis Smith and ten others.
ART. 18. To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen, to borrow money in an- ticipation of taxes.
ART. 19. To see if the town will abolish the present highway surveyor system, and elect one surveyor of high- ways.
ART. 20. To see what action, if any, the town will take relative to medical attendance upon the poor for the ensuing year.
ART. 21. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to raising and making an appropriation for the Turner Free Library ; also to see if the town will appropriate the money received for dog licenses for the ensuing year to the use of said library.
ART. 22. To see if the town will authorize and appoint the selectmen to be agents and attorneys for the town, to prosecute, defend, compromise and settle any and all suits and proceedings in which the town may be in any way en- gaged or interested as a party, or otherwise, for the ensuing year.
ART. 23. To see if the town will instruct the Treasurer to pay all demand notes against the said town, and authorize said Treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen, to borrow money for the payment of said notes.
ART. 24. To see if the town will authorize the collector of taxes to use the same means which a town treasurer may use when acting as collector.
ART. 25. To see if the town will authorize the collector of taxes to charge interest at the rate of six per centum per annum on all taxes remaining unpaid on and after October 10, 1881.

ART. 26. To hear reports of committees, and act thereon.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof at five or more public places in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the town clerk, on or before the day and hour appointed for said meeting.
