By courtesy of the WNAC Broadcasting Station, no- school announcement will be given out over the radio as near to the local hours as is convenient and possible for the station announcer.


There will be days when schools are in session be- cause weather conditions are not severe enough to cause complete shut-down of all activities. On such days, par- ents, as in former years, determine whether their chil- dren shall attend. No excuse will be required of pupils for absence on such days unless the parent so wishes. Con- sideration will be given pupils striving for perfect at- tendance.

Article 10. To see if the Town will instruct the Selectmen to appoint a Special Officer or Officers, to enforce the laws.

Article 11. To see if the Town will authorize the Water Commissioners to appoint one of their members to another office or position under their control, and fix the salary of such person in accordance with the pro- visions of Chapter 36, Acts of 1929, or take any other action relative thereto.


Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate money for materials and expenses in connec- tion with W. P. A. projects, as petitioned for, by the Selectmen.


Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $300.00 for Memorial Day ex- penses, to be expended under the direction of Lieut. Wil- liam Palmer Camp, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, as petitioned for.


Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to appoint one of their members to another office or position under their control and fix the salary of such person in accordance with the pro- visions of Chapter 36, Acts of 1929, or take any other action relative thereto, as petitioned for.


Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for an "Employment Fund" to provide work instead of Public Welfare, and that men eligible for welfare have preference over all others, and that this fund be under the direct control of the Board of Selectmen, as petitioned for.


Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to establish a Board of Public Welfare, to compose of three members according to the provisions of Chapter 41 of the General Laws.

Article 17. To see what action the Town wishes to take as regards accepting 38,500 square feet, more or less, of land adjoining Stetson High School Athletic Field on the south, and lying in the rear of the property, now or formerly of Joseph T. Leahy, and being part of land now owned by the Lt. Thomas W. Desmond Post No. 169, American Legion Building Corporation for the purpose of providing the additional land necessary for, the proper development of the Stetson High School Athletic Field, as petitioned for.


Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $750.00 to provide for the lease of quarters for the Lieut. Thomas W. Desmond Post No. 169 of the American Legion, or act in any other manner thereto, as petitioned for.


Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $750.00 for the leasing of a build- ing for headquarters of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3389 or act in any other manner thereto, as petitioned for.


Article 20. To see if the Town of Randolph will amend the By-Laws by adding thereto a new Section or Sections to provide for Zoning in accordance with the pro- visions of General Laws (Ter. Ed.), Chapter 40, Sections 25 to 30 inclusive, and as recommended by the Com- mittee on Zoning as petitioned for.


Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to direct the Moderator to appoint a Committee of five citizens to work with the School Committee and make recommenda- tions to the next Annual Town Meeting, or to a Special Town Meeting called for the purpose, concerning the crowded conditions in the Stetson High School, as petitioned for.

Article 22. To see if the Town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money for Materials and expense in con- nection with a W. P. A. project to excavate and finish a basement assembly room at the Charles Gabriel Devine School, as petitioned for.


Article 23. To see if the Town will instruct the Elec- tric Light Committee to continue its efforts to secure lower electric rates and raise and appropriate a sum of money therefor, as recommended by said committee.


WATER MAINS


Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for lowering water mains and replacing hydrants on Lafayette Street, in conjunc- tion with a W. P. A. project as petitioned for.


Article 25. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money for a six inch water line, labor to be sup- plied by W. P. A., for a distance of four hundred and fifty feet on Woodlawn Parkway, as petitioned for.


Article 26. To see if the Town will extend the water main in High Street, from Chestnut Street, to Canton Street, and to raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.


STREET LAYOUTS


Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to lay out Patterson Avenue, from Center Street, in a westerly direction for a distance of 500 feet, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.


Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to lay out State Street, from North Street, for a distance of 600 feet, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.

Article 29. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Selectmen to lay out Eugenia Street, from North Main Street, to High Street, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.


Article 30. To see if the Town will lay out and widen the Street in front of the New Tower Hill School, to a width of not less than 40 feet, and to raise and appro- priate money therefor, as petitioned for.


STREET ACCEPTANCES


Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to accept Tileston Road as laid out by the Selectmen, as petitioned for.


Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to accept Amelian Road from Linden Street, a distance of 1400 feet, as laid out by the Selectmen, as petitioned for.


Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to accept Mitchell Street, from Stacy Street, to Reed Street, as laid out by the Selectmen, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.


Article 34. To see if the Town will vote to accept Ballard Street as laid out by the Selectmen, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.


Article 35. To see if the Town will vote to accept Thomas Street, Linden Street, from Pond Street, to New- comb Avenue, as laid out by the Selectmen, and name same Linden Road, and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for.
