JAMES E. FOLEY
one of Randolph's most respected native sons, passed away on December 3, 1943 at the age of 93. He was born in Randolph in 1850 and resided here all his life.
He served the town as Constable from March 4, 1907 to March 2, 1908; Field Driver from March 1, 1909 to March 7, 1910; Moderator from May 1, 1916 to March 3, 1920; Assessor from March 6, 1922 to March 1928; became Deputy Warden in 1911 and served in that capacity until 1939 when he became Warden, which office he held until his death.

ARTICLE 1-VOTED: To amend the vote passed under Article 2 of the Warrant of the Annual Town Meeting held on March 1, 1943, by reducing the amount appropriated for Public Welfare by $5,000, so that the amount to be raised by taxation will be $14,000.
ARTICLE 2-VOTED: To amend the vote passed under Article 2 of the Warrant of the Annual Town Meeting held on March 1, 1943 by reducing the amount appropriated for Randolph Maintenance Account by $500, so that the amount to be raised by taxation will be $7,262.24.
